Michael McCann's Deus Ex: Human Revolution soundtrack is pure cyberpunk atmospheric madness. It's a videogame score but don't let that turn you off.

I unabashedly love Southland Tales. I prefer The Terminator to T2 and my movie of the year so far (although I haven't seen Looper or Cloud Atlas yet) is Prometheus.

The second one is shite, though, despite the fact I like John Woo films, usually.

I doubt even John Woo likes MI2

Ah man Ratatouille getting no love. I adore that flick.

1. Ratatouille
2. Finding Nemo
3. The Incredibles
4. Up
5. Wall-E
6. Monsters. Inc

See the thing is Exposed Film captures light differently to a CMOS sensor and so this argument is essentially a subjective one. I like to think of it as an acoustic guitar vs an electric guitar, just because you like the sound of the acoustic over electric doesn't mean that it's better, it's just a different aesthetic.

Also concerning Imax, as far as I understand, Regular 65mm is 5 perf whilst IMAX is 15 perf.

Well you could go for The Red Scarlet it's a bit more expensive than the EX3 and you'll still need a display, an SSD card ($950 for the 65gb one) and some lenses otherwise maybe a DSLR.

Funny thing is Neil's outlook isn't unique, Trent Reznor, Trey Parker & Matt Stone and Lloyd Kaufman have expressed similar views.

You know there is a documentary coming out this year about Alexandro Jodorowsky's failed DUNE adaptation (the one that had Salvador Dali, HR Giger, Moebius, Dan O'Bannon, Pink Floyd, David Carradine, Orson Welles and Mick Jagger involved)

Here's the trailer

Hi Grant here and I'm from Alpha Centauri. No that's a lie, I'm actually from South Africa.

Found DIF a while ago via NP2k and have been a visitor for some time.

Oh and I'm something of a filmmaker but until recently have only made crap that no one should ever see. Quality on the horizon.

Maybe I'm being cynical about this but I really thought that one of those Ferries should have blown up (I mean isn't that what makes the Joker such a formidable foe. He knows how people tick and wants to show them what they're capable of) The whole thing just felt insincere and oh so hollywood (especially considering what came before it)

You know I always felt that the Coen Bros' thing was: We live in an absurd world. I mean just look at how they portray violence.
