You might have heard me talking about "X unnamed horror film that I recently scored" on the last Uncomposed. This is it!

Watch the film here

Listen to just the score here

There's thirty more short films in this series, called Fun Size Horror, and they're all super cool. You dig this, I suggest you check those out as well.

That's actually badass and I want one.

Thank you so much! That really made my day...and today I needed something to make my day  smile

Dude Teague brought the pain on that artwork.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Makes my tummy all warm and stuff.

That is amazing.

...and yet more of the same. Sorry if I'm posting a ton of music and it feels spammy. If so, I'll give it a rest.

That said: I just released my most recent score and I'm super excited about it. Because it's for a movie about real human beings talking and dealing with human things and there's not an explosion or spaceship to be found.

And the music reflects this...it's more Thomas Newman or Clint Mansell than Hans Zimmer. I recorded it with a string quartet and they kicked major ass.

This score feels like a step-up in terms of the maturity of my dramatic writing. I'd love it if you gave it a listen.

If you're strapped for time, start with track 3 and then skip to track 6.

Why is no one mentioning the Trey Dick song?  That had me howling in the car.

If it's not on Adventures in Faking This, I will retroactively un-produce the album.

Any composers around?

Hi there, I'm Alex. PM sent.

Just so everyone knows, we are SO CLOSE. Like, right there. Just a couple tiny tweaks and we're out the door.

I'm listening back to the final/second-to-final mixes right now and goddammit I love this album.

I wrote this score over a year ago, but due to festival submission rules and whatnot, I haven't been able to release it until now. Enjoy!

I'm setting up a "name your price" (including "free") download page on my website at the moment, but until then streaming is the only way. Oh well.

Enjoy!

If it's legal (I'm not sure if it is), and depending on the time-frame, I would *love* to transcribe and sequence the theme. That way we could time it correctly.

I heard a little They Might Be Giants.

I have no idea what you're talking about because that was *literally* Star Wars.  tongue

Not looking through all the pages, but…

How have neither The Goonies nor Battlefield Earth happened yet?

I demand blood.

I just finished prepping everything. I can assure you it's fancy. Possibly even schmancy.

Premiere CS6 + Audition for any audio stuff, unless that gets handled by a dedicated sound guy.

I'd like to do the sound mixing, if nobody objects. Been cutting my teeth on that stuff for a while now. Plus Alex and I would be able to interface on the sound stuff pretty easily.

We'll interface the shit out of this thing.

I'm sure this will need music. So, uh, hi.

I think Alex harbors a secret resentment to this film as my shouty reactions to it ruined his post-Stokes-donut-coma-nap.

Man, I just don't know.

I feel like Zach Snyder telling everyone that we'll get a sneak peak at the new Batman next week.

Always next week.

But for real, trust me, there are good reasons for the wait. Long story short, it's always, "We can do it like this or like that. That will be better, but this will be faster."

And we all know how fond Teague is of saying, "Not like this. Not like this."

You guys, the Tokes and Stokes theme has been stuck in my head since you put it up.  I feel like I'm walking around as some superfly 70's badass crime fighter or something....complete with the retro film grain.

Day = made. Thank you for that.

Obligatory just-so-you-know that you can download the track on my SoundCloud page (the "music" link under the April Fools video).
