My favorite shot in the whole movie was when Ryan was using the wrench to remove the parachute and little bits of debris would go screaming past in the background.  The fact that there was no sound added so much to the building dread.

I got that whole thing from listening to the Wanted track.  It just sounded like there weren't any problems from The Green Mile as a stand alone entity that they'd just finished.  Did the recorder just stop at some point or did the file corrupt?

Ok.  Just started going through the intermissions a few days ago and I got to this one.  The ifotos was a nice revelation mainly because in trying to track down a list of all the DIF episodes here on this forum someone made the joke about you guys doing a commentary for it and being new here, and never being on TFN I was curious what it was and why it wasn't posted.  Well played, whoever you were and everyone else that's carried on that urban legend for so long.  I'm surprised it never got a wiki page ruining the whole thing though.

I just listened to the Wanted commentary and there was mention of The Green Mile being recorded earlier in the day.  Did that one ever get released or is that another lost episode?

I want to see this only to see if Tony Danza says "Noah" exactly like he says "Mona."

This was always my favorite.

How about Mr. Brooks?

Does that mean you're lumping this one in with most Michael Bay movies or are they on a completely different level of suck to you?

I maintain Pacific Rim is terrible and the internet is crazy for trying to defend it. The writing is awful and the action isn't good enough or frequent enough to make up for it.

I just watched it last night and it was exactly what I expected and I really liked it.  I'm with you, in that, the movie is pretty much indefensible as cinematic genious but I didn't think it was terrible.

Saw this posted elsewhere.

I'll start by saying that I haven't seen Gravity yet but I've kinda always "nothinged" Sandra Bullock.  She's been funny in comedies for the most part and hasn't really taken anything away from the serious roles she's been in but I haven't felt that she's been absolutely amazing in anything.  Which I guess, isn't something you can say about most actors and actresses, so there's that.

The Blind Side was a little different for me because I'd heard stories about the actual lady that she's playing and it sounds like she pretty much had her dead on, except that she's pretty much an attention whore now that the movies been made.  That role being deserving of an Oscar nomination is another discussion entirely though.

I saw this movie as one of the strangest double features in the theater.  This was first, followed immediately by BASEketball.  The day got cheerier as we went on.

I thought the older version of Rose was going to spit over the side of the ship when she walked to the railing instead of the necklace showing up again.  That would have been way better.

I don't know how much defending it actually needs simply because I've heard no discussion about it.  Mothman Prophecies is in my top 10 favorite films.  I like it both in content and in style.  Almost every scene transitions into the next so it feels almost like there hasn't been any editing done.  I'm not prone to jump scares and don't really react to scary or overly gory movies but for some reason this movie actually gave me goosebumps.  My wife loves it too and most friends that I've shown it to have reacted favorably but I've heard no widespread discussion.  It's so under the radar that there isn't even a blu-ray in production yet.

I'd like to see one for Christine for the scary thread if you don't have your choices locked in.

Just listened to this one.  I caught on pretty quickly.  Nice to know it was an April Fools day bit, but it still works as without that knowledge.  Great movie choice for the gag and still a pretty entertaining commentary.  Awesome episode guys.

Yeah, that one... there is no dissecting.  He's just a little guy who flat out lands on people.  Thank god he's tiny and those rings have a LOT of give to them.  From the ones I've seen most of the guys taking the bump do put their arms in the way also so it's usually not straight on their rib cages.

I kinda like that picture actually.  Zar Zar should be in episode 7.

Here's the pro wrestler Low Ki that Eddie mentioned.  Looking at it over and over it appears he's amazing at timing his landing and pulls his legs up while rolling to one side and lessening the impact quite a bit.  The guy on the bottom leans foward to try to catch the weight and sort of roll with the impact that's left.  If you focus on the guy taking the bump it doesn't look as bad as you initially think.  All that said, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of one if he ever fucks up.

I've seen The Protector but that's my only Tony Jaa exposure.  I'll have to pick this one up.

Side note: Tony Jaa looks a like Asian ripped Jimmy Smits to me.

I assumed Walt got shot by either a ricochet or one of Todd's crews guns going off as they got cut down.  Almost all of them had their guns out so that made more sense to me.  That motorized chair reminded me of the Roomba in the middle of all the passed out junkies at Jesse's house from earlier in the series and made me laugh.

I'll agree that the Lydia meeting was a little weaker than I'd hoped but I love that Lydia is the one who got the ricen.  There's something wonderful about someone who has such a hair trigger on eliminating threats, being forced to spend the last day of her life knowing she's going to die and being able to do nothing about it.  She was similar to Walt in her ability to talk her way out of things and that's just not gonna help this time.

I loved that Badger and Skinny Pete got a scene.  I started laughing when he said the "2 best hit-men" line.  For some reason I knew it was gonna be those 2, either that or Huell and Bill Burr.  Honestly, I would have been upset if it had gone the other way.  Badger especially needed to be in the finale.

I liked the framing on the conversation with Skyler.  Hiding Walt while she was on the phone was a nice touch but having the frame split down the middle by that column was a nice way to show that they were no longer "together."  Given all the situations Walt got himself into, I disagree with the "I was good at it" portion of the "I did everything for me" section of their conversation.  His pride still has him seeing only the best in what he's done, even while finally acknowledging that his motivations weren't 100% pure after all.  And the Holly and Flynn goodbyes, were both emotional in completely separate ways.  It's a shame that both children will have horrible or no memories of their father, especially the way Walt started the series.

I can't believe they never had a meth lab explosion anywhere in the series after setting it up and then doing a callback to it in Ozymandius.

At first I thought Todd recorded a song for his own ringtone since the quality was kinda lacking.  lol
