There is one issue that I think not many are pointing out that I think is worth noting, but it's a spoiler.
SPOILER Show
The overall plot is basically a rehash of A New Hope. The characters are different, but the main events of the story are the same. Good guys neeed droid that holds important information. Droid runs into Every-man characters that help it. Every-man characters help droid get back to good guys. Reveals that every-man characters have connections to the larger story. Bad guys have big super weapon. Every-man characters help good guys destroy super weapon, and the bad guys are defeated for now. The new main characters are different, but the story is basically the same. I really hope the sequels go in a different direction than the orginal trilogy.
Everybody and their mother is pointing that out haha.

I wasn't crazy about the self-contained plot of the movie. I get it, it's like poetry, sort of, they rhyme. Just kind of felt flat to me. That being said, I'm excited about the characters they set up and where they can go from here.
Yeah I see that now. One thing I hope to get out of the new movie is that there some kind of acknowledgement of the aftermath of the First Orders actions.
I liked it. I thought it was a nice "Welcome Back" to Star Wars. The characters were great. Actors did a great job. It moved fast, and only had a few moments that lingered and let you take it in, and then it was right back into it. I really want to see it again.

I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing it multiple times.
I haven't posted or even visited the site in a long time. I am sorry. And I was surfing tonight, I all of sudden was overcome with missing the Friends in My Head. Anybody else want to reminisce about the good times? I remember being really excited about the approach of Sunday nights. I would be hard pressed to point out a favorite episode. How's everyone been doing? Anybody feel like sharing about their favorite moments from Friends in Your Head?
Damn it. Just damn it. I'm going to miss the commentaries, terribly. Lots of bad news today. Thank you for putting all the podcasts out there, it's been a pleasure listening to it. Thank you.
It occurs to me that we have a rare opportunity here. What scenario should we have ready for when Mike wakes up?
I'm trying to decide between 28 Days Later and Planet of the Apes, but leaning toward the latter because getting ape masks probably will be easier than convincing the Cedars-Sinai staff to temporarily abandon the entire floor of the hospital.
Tell him that he missed Episode VII, and that the fight coregraphy was awful, and they totally should have hired him to do it. But Disney already called and said they will not be hiring him to do the fight coregraphy for Episode VIII.
I just realized that Peter Quill would have gotten to see Star Wars, and basically live it out in that sort of Universe, never knowing the prequels exist. #Jealous
This looks interesting. I've tried LARP, and I didn't like it very much. I've tried watching reality TV shows, and I didn't like that very much, either. Though, I might give this a chance. I don't understand why they try to classify it as a reality show when they say right in the narration that it goes by a plot line. I'm at least going to give it a chance to show me how its going to work, but if it's mostly just the contestants going at each other with foam weapons, then I'm going to forget about it quickly.
This looks kind of crazy, but kind of cool. It almost seems like some trying to tell the Anakin Skywalker story; submitting to evil power for just means. I think I'll give it a chance, but I can see it's probably going to go very wrong.
watching Air Force One on Air Force One watching World Trade Center in the Freedom Tower watching Olympus Has Fallen, or White House Down at the White House
I would like to point out that at the beginning, Matt and Ben are supposed to be in Wisconsin. While Milwaukee has a big airport, it isn't nearly big enough to have moving sidewalks.
I really loved the movie. They hit a home run with me when they did Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and following it up with this makes me a complete fan-boy of these guys.
I wonder how the message of this contrasts with the Incredibles' message. Trey pointed out that the Incredibles was saying that not everyone is special, but there are special people out there. While this movie seemed to say you might not be one of those special people, but you can do something cool anyway.
Dave Bautista said he wanted the role badly, went to extra acting classes, read through a ton of source material and lobbied hard for it. When he got the role, he said he dropped to his knees and wept.
Hey Eddie, can you post a link to that article, or was it from an offline source? It sounds like a very interesting read.
When I watch this trailer I get a real 5th Element vibe, absolutely ridiculous, but kind of awesome. I really like 5th Element, so I have high hopes for this.
I am going to relay what a friend said about this, because I think he put it much better than I could.
"In a recent interview, JK Rowling stated that she should have had Hermione end up with Harry--but she's wrong. Unless her intent was to make the Harry Potter series into "Twilight". The characters created by authors are, in some ways, like real children. They take on lives of their own and sometimes do things we couldn't have expected or that we dislike. Pairing Harry and Hermione would have been too cliche, with a far less quirky and interesting dynamic than R & H. Plus, Harry marrying Ginny connects him to a real, loving family who accepts magic, completing the 180-degree transformation of his life that began in an abusive and fearful muggle household."
I think a really good intermission topic would be to discuss Joesph Gordan-Levitt's new project hitRECord. The idea of art created by a large mass of artests is very interesting. Link: http://www.hitrecord.org/
