Alright, iTunes helpers! (I don't think I'm gonna need banner help after all - at least, not soon. iTunes, however, is an ASAP sorta thing.)

We need to make 177 new iTunes images. They'll look like this. Well, 176, really - this one is 177.

This would be a matter of Googling a high-ish rez poster for the movie, and dropping it into the template. Save out. Gimme file.

Anyone down? I could use all the help I can get. I'm doing the audio processing in months, since our commentaries are all filenamed commentary-[month]-[date]-[name].mp3. So the 1-month movies, or January movies, come in first. Twelve chunks o' month. I figured maybe people could sign up for months. (Ideally, they get done in 1 10 11 12 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 order, so I get them in the same order I get the audio made.)

Here's the Photoshop template.

Copy poster (please try to match the poster we currently use - for 177, this will be a small version of the one to match, and so on for whatever number id your episode has), paste into Photoshop. Place directly above the existing poster layer in your layers panel.

• Ctrl-T to enable transform options.

• In the top bar, you can dial in rotation manually. Rotate to +4%, or 4% clockwise.

• Drag the poster so the top left corner is over the top left corner of the guide poster.

• Shift-click-drag on the bottom right corner, to scale the poster. Match the dimensions of the top edge, some posters have different aspect ratios than others. We will be matching the width, not the height.

• Hit enter to apply your transformations.

• Right-click on the original poster layer, and Copy Layer Style.

• Right-click on your new poster, and Paste Layer Style. (This gives you the stroke and glow.)

• Turn off the visibility for the original poster.

• File -> Save for Web. Use JPEG, and 50% quality.

• Save as "itunes-##.jpg," where ## is the number id for that episode.

Note: there is no relationship between what episodes you'll be working on and the number id for those episodes. You're doing episodes divided into what month they happened, not when-in-order. You'll have some neighbor episodes, 'cuz, say, 142 Social Network, 143 Wrath of Khan, and 144 Airbender all happened in January, but it's incidental. You'll want to look up the episode id for each poster to be sure it's the right number.

So, anyone wanna sign up?

Please use bold red text to announce the month you intend to do.

One month at a time for any one artist, pls. Wanna start getting images back as soon as I can.

Lists of episodes here were based on the audio files, 'cuz it was the fastest way for me to do it. All you care about is knowing what movie it is, and the number id to the right. If you can't tell based on the little name designation, replace the 177 with whatever your number is in this link.

It has been brought to my attention that the numbers I started using in these lists were totally friggin' wrong. Bummer. To save y'all some time, instead of going to the site and manually typing in URLs, here's a PDF dump of our whole database. The id number in the left column is the one to use.
