Re: Moon

You don't think a liar is spreading misinformation about how to detect lying, do you?

This site kinda backs up what I said: up and to the left is recall.

Not sure where I heard the 'down' thing for constructed images—well, I do remember, but it's not scientific or germane.

Re: Moon

I'm curious what the aesthetic Brian is talking about through this entire commentary, (that wouldn't have set up the false expectations about this being pure hard sci-fi) would actually look like. Because I'm very much of the same thought as the rest of the guys that this is just the world that you establish when you want to tell this story, and then you let the magic bean play out inside that.

To put it another way I guess. Do I need to setup an alternate aesthetic to the real world we live in if I want to make cloverfield? The first bit of that movie is setting up that this is going to be a movie about a bunch of people at a party, and we get to chill with them. Nothing about that is telling me there's suddenly going to be this giant monster that suddenly attacks New York. So should I be upset that the movie's aesthetic didn't tell me this was going to introduce the magic bean of the monster?
