Re: Pre-Constantine.

She sounds an awful lot like my...pokemons.

Yeah. The follow-uppery is the most awkward, that was a good flu you had.

If it turns out that these are your pokemons I have, I'll kill you.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

I'm somehow tickled by the prospect that I got there first.

Lemme see. The one in question was my age minus a year or two, so she'd be in her mid-30s now. Sound familiar?

Re: Pre-Constantine.

I was doing an STD joke. I felt good about it. *hand over head motion*

Foof.

Anyway, yeah, that's her. Like it even matters now.

Oh! HA! I GET IT!

We now return you to our regularly scheduled riff, already in progress.

So I says to Teague I says, "There are several over-the-counter creams that'll clear that right up. Also, use a fresh razor blade for god's sake."

Heck, they make spray on foam that's a lot more comfortable than that.  It's really quite a thing to see, you should try it sometime.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

No way, man. That stuff burns. I'm never doing that again.

Or so I've heard.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

Nah, the spray on stuff is way more genital, that is gentle, than the lotion stuff, though it does smell the same, that is, bad.

Or so I've heard.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

Is it just me, or does that stuff totally smell like cucumbers?

Or so I've … to hell with it. Or so I've smelled.

I draw the line at talking about cucumbers on the internet.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

In retrospect, that seems wise.

So this is what our board is going to be.

Alright then.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

Pretty Hate Machine I owned in Junior High, and I was always into NIN, but it wasn't until I was 18 and stationed in Alabama that I really grew to appreciate just how brilliant that album was.  It was also what I was going through relationship wise.  To me, PHM will always be my go to, but I love The Fragile, With Teeth, and Downward Spiral all the same.  Glad I got to see them live before Trent pulled the plug.

I'm very into what Im hearing from HTDA so far and can't wait for more.

And as a bonus..here's my god damn holy trinity of music (Trent Reznor, Peter Murphy, and TV on the Radio) performing TVOTR's "Dreams," live from about 4 years ago.

Re: Pre-Constantine.

The Downward Spiral was my "gateway" album, and it still holds the number 3 position, proceeded by The Slip (love all but the instrumentals) and Year Zero (counting R3MIX3D).  The track that got me hooked was Dead Souls from The Crow.

In a way I own my appreciation of modern music in general to NIN.  Before NIN I sort of lumped all of hard rock and heavy metal into just obnoxious noise.  Dead Souls hooked me, then The Downward Spiral came out and I actually took the time to listen to it.

Actually now that I think about it, that was the beginning of my ability to critique;  giving NIN a shot, and finding I liked it taught me not to judge before I'd given a reasonable chance.

I guess that's the lesson then; don't be to quick to judge, you might find you like it.
