Re: Your Random Creations
1. Cool.
2. I feel like I'm missing something. Normal maps are used all the time, and with moving lights. What's the context here?

While location scouting yesterday, there was a puppy, and I took a picture of it.

What I didn't realize until I got home was that I had panned with the dog, so he's (she's? Pretty sure it's a boy) in perfect focus while everything else was slightly blurred. Kinda like it. You'll have to click through to see it better, though, Flickr won't let me direct link the image.

This was a project I did almost exactly a year ago. The first "real" anything I did with my GH2 and set-up, it's rough, there's a lot I would do very differently and definitely doesn't accurately represent what I can do now (Hence why it's going here and not in my official Zangrethor thread, also I wasn't technically Zangrethor back when I did this, it was just me doing a thing, so myeh). But it just got released semi-publicly so I can share it now.
Personally it's kinda painful to watch, but such is the way of these things.

I've released a couple new EP's in the last couple months http://fullempty.bandcamp.com/
Also released a new song, which also happens to be my first attempt at "scoring" a film.

I figured my music might fit with 2001.

A 3d gun model I made for my game project at university. Took less than 2 days of modelling, 1 day of unwrapping it for textures and about 2 days of texturing. I don't know how bad/slow I am at it. I'm curious as to what you all think!
This one definitely fits the description of "random creation". No idea why I made this.
I made a showreel from my models that I made for university! What do we think, do I have a chance in the games industry?
Beyond thrilled how this came out. A lot of hard work went into this one shot:

Yeah, you do Fight Club, that's basically an instalike from me.

I know it's been a while, but I'll bite: Is this a comp of the Mansion and a similar shot with the long exposure, or is there something more tricky that you did here?
Looks like 50+ exposures on location blended together for the background, then maybe another exposure length for the foreground. The clouds wouldn't be steppy like that if it was all done together, and would need to have been at like ND8 or something to expose for a half hour like that.
Just finished the model butterfly for the short I'm filming next weekend.

So..uh...yeah...we did a thing today.
Teague's tutorials claim another victim/student.
And yeah, I know this isn't anything y'all haven't seen before, but I tried searching and couldn't find an "i rotoscoped a lightsaber too!" thread
I do now realize the important of having a separate shot of a lightsaber switching on, 'cause trying to get the length right without a guide, while it moves towards/away from camera is tricky. But still, I'm amazed how easy this was. Gonna try doing something more complicated now. Cheers, Teague.
chyessssss
I covered Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" by Tears For Fears. Wait, is that confusing?
