Topic: Lavalantula- the Trey/Steve Guttenberg movie we've been waiting for?

Just saw an ad for this on scyfi, saying it's airing tonight (Saturday) at 9pm. Is this the movie you mentioned, Trey?

Judging by the amount of Lavalantula stuff on Trey's twitter, I'd give a resounding "probably"

I think I have only ever seen one person's twitter feed, and that's because it's in a small box on his web comic's homepage.

Well, you see, you respect people more the less you hear from them. Like that Uncle who you loved until he thought you were old enough to hear his theories on Jews. By ignoring Twitter, I still have heroes smile

I would disagree with that sentiment, immensely. It might be true for some people, but those aren't the people you want as your heroes anyways.

As weird as it might sound, there are a couple people I've grown to respect immensely, more than I ever could have thought because of what they're doing on twitter (I mean, generally it's twitter used as a channel point for news about all the cool shit they're doing elsewhere, but point stands). Just off the top of my head the amount of charity work that Misha Collins does (Yes, the Angel guy from Supernatural), plus planning/hosting GISHWHES every year that brings together people all around the globe, it's awesome, and Misha is always an incredible cool and humble guy. And I'd know about none of that without twitter.

And hey, failing all hope in the people you look up to, there's always the innumerable amount of joke accounts that are always good fun.

So, they've already greenlit a sequel, and are apparently looking to replicate the juggernaut that is the Sharknado franchise.

More opportunity to see Trey's astounding supervision, I hope!

For the next hour, everything in this post is strictly based on the available facts.

It was a fun little movie, and as Trey had said it knew exactly what it was. I'm very curious as to the post production, compared to Asylum films. It filmed last September, yet Trey according to his twitter was still doing shots for it almost a year later. Knowing the air date, was the studio not willing to pay for that work until close to when the money would be coming in?
