Re: Zarban.com
Ugh!
What is it with your people and stopping?!
Re: Zarban.com
Well, that's sad and understandable at the same time...
Also, it seems appropriate that there were several American Girl Amazon links as ads on the page as I read your note. Also, I would be curious to find some commentaries on the Felicity movie, as my daughters enjoy it. N
Good luck in your endeavors!
Re: Zarban.com
I found DIF from ZHC's. DIF stopped. Zabarn's dead. Tomorrow, I'm gunna go kill off something else wonderful.
Re: Zarban.com
Life is cruel and short and everything you love eventually dies
Zarban was how I found DIF in the first place. Now DIF and Zarban are gone too, and a long chapter is closed.
To be honest I can sympathize, I don't listen to fan commentaries anymore either, too busy focusing on my own projects. I suppose that's what growing up is all about.
Godspeed Zarban.

Re: Zarban.com
Oh jeez now I'm embarrassed. I didn't want THIS group to find out about my American Girl obsession.
But thanks for the kind words. It really was fun for a long time (7 1/2 years!). I'll maintain the site for years as is and clean the spam out now and then.
(Also, I don't know how many of you know Wordpress, but I hacked the hell out of that code. For awhile, that was part of the fun, but the thing is a beast to mess with anymore. I can't even update my plugins properly because I hacked the main ones of those too.)

Re: Zarban.com
I'll be honest. I like American girls too.
Re: Zarban.com
Next major project: converting WhiteHouseMuseum.org to Weebly or something.
Re: Zarban.com
Knowing the internet, SOMEONE will eventually step up to fill this need. There's a geek somewhere who's saying, "I'd set up a site about commentaries, but this Zarban guy has already.... hey!"

Me too. It's been an invaluable resource.
Thanks for everything, Zarban... and good luck with all your future projects.
But pity the warrior who slays all his foes...
Re: Zarban.com
I've found so much entertainment from the Zarban site it's actually kind of unbelievable. One time I wondered, "Is there anyone who has done a fan commentary on a Blackadder episode so's I can listen to it as I clean out the storm gutters on my house?" Yes, yes there is. There is one. And so I did. Zarban.com is an awesome thing.
Also he's a cool guy.
Re: Zarban.com
As long as he is still contributing, I'm not complaining. The only thing worse about the site being not updated is not hearing from the man, the myth, the legend that is Zarban.
Also, I read all of the American Girl books as a youngster, and still enjoy reading the books "to my girls"
Re: Zarban.com
Oh jeez, that's two. Now I'm sorry for the American Girl jokes. Mea culpa. Mea culpa.
I am not obsessed with American Girl. I'm sure it's a fine product with empowering messages for girls, which is why it seemed funny to claim that I--a grown man with no children--had become obsessed with it and its wiki. I have nothing against the franchise or its fans. It seems perfectly charming.

Now your sounding like a politician!
...Mistakes were made
Re: Zarban.com
Depends on how you define "American Girl."
It's on the Internet, Zarban-it must be true
Re: Zarban.com
I regret that some people took offense to remarks that were made when I misquoted myself on the subject in question. #Zarban2016

Dolls are creepy.
Yeah, I said it.

Doles are what now?
I have a tendency to fix your typos.
