We got our dog, Ronon (after Ronon Dex, Stargate: Atlantis) in late September, coincidentally on our one year wedding anniversary. He's a German Shepherd/Doberman mix.

I actually don't have any good ones from this year. That last one is from October or so but he's only packed on between 5-10 pounds since then, he's about 50 right now at a year and three months.

Also because I am a sucker about such things I must point out BarkBox. 25-30 USD a month with roughly 40-50 USD worth of treats and toys and stuff.

Good name! I knew a Rottweiler named Panzer and my brother's Rottie-mutt was Rommel.
You're going to have to teach him to swim now, you know. ;-)
Nice looking, too, takes the hard edge off the Doberman breed standard.

No pets of my own, but here's an photo I took of my auntie and uncles dog, Ben. Unfortunately the poor guy had some rather big health issues and had to be put to sleep not too long after this was taken. He was an awesome dog that will be very much missed.

Sophie is a Yorkshire terrier we've had since her birth eight years ago. Puppy is some kind of weird mutt mix and a rescue, hence the generic name the shelter gave her when she was brought in. We let her keep the generic name.

Oh shelter names. Ronon was posted with the name "Carter", but his earliest medical record with them suggests he came in with the name "Gremlin".

RE: sleeping puppies. Ronon curls in a tight little ball when sleeping, while my boss' two Bernese Mountain Dogs sprawl like nobody's business. I wonder if the thickness of the coat has anything to do with that.

Here we go.
Confession time: "Cone of shame" sounded funnier in my head than, "Donut of don't lick yer junk," at the time of typing my previous post, shows you what good my comedic instincts are.

Anyhoo, he's up around 25 lbs now, 12 weeks I think.
I'm seeing more Rottweiler/PitBull in him than Shepherd.
