Topic: 3D Photography

So I've been experimenting with 3D photography, specifically stereography. I use a program called 3D Camera Studio on my iPad, which allows me to combine two photos taken by the same camera into a single image. What I usually create is one with the R/L images next to each other, so I just have to cross my eyes, and boom, 3D. If anyone has a 3D display, though, this program will also export in several formats that work there, OR it'll do the stuff for red/blue glasses.

I've been really happy with a lot of my results. I've got an album on Facebook that I put a lot of stuff on there, so please check it out. It's here: HERE

And here's a few choice selections. If you don't know how to view them, do some Googling on cross-eye stereograms.

Now that I've got you inspired, why don't you post some of your own 3D photography?

Whoa, never done that before. Nicely done. My eyes hurt and have issues focusing right now, but cool nonetheless.

Re: 3D Photography

Nice. Bodies of water never quite work in 3D without duel lenses because they shift so much from moment to moment. But buying and using duel lens kits isn't very practical. *sigh*

Re: 3D Photography

Nice photography. Can you tell me which camera is used for this 3 D photography? Is it with very high resolution?

I edited Denny's post, because it included a pretty obvious spam link. That said, most of our spambots don't make posts that seem relevant to the thread they're in, and his did, so for the moment I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I will be at Disney and Universal in a month.  I might have to try this with some better known landmarks.  Something tells me Spaceship Earth and such would look WICKED.

Re: 3D Photography

To paraphrase a line from Ghostbusters: "Don't cross your eyes. Crossing your eyes would be bad. Very, very bad."

Translation: There's a reason your eyes hurt after doing that and you have focusing issues. Your body is telling you something. Specifically, "Ow, quit it!" smile

My girlfriend only recently learned how to look at these. It's not all that easy, it would seem.
