Love it. My only suggestion now is to widen the forum a bit. I'm not sure what your tools allow, but I'd love to not have pillar-boxing when I'm reading the forum on my iPad.

Greg, what do you do if you loose your keys?

I don't loose my keys, I hold onto their leash pretty tightly.

But if I lose them, I have a freaking spare key. It's what I'm talking about. A simple plan, in case the simplest problem occurs.

Season 1 update: just watched 115, The Cor-Ai, and was quite impressed. It did a better job exploring Teal'c's humanity (man, those apostrophes don't work well together) than, say, Measure of a Man did.

Of course, I'm not sure if you prick Teal'c, if he does bleed. Guy seems pretty invincible. Do they ever find a plague that his larva can't protect him from?

Which begs the question: what happens if a Goa'uld chooses a Trill host as his new body?

For the record, I kinda love T3. I like that it takes the premise from T2 and says '…or not.' if you're not excited by that, I dunno what to do for you.

Seriously? You liked the noir episode? I thought it was terrible, a casualty of Fox's musical week stunt. My main problem was that it came during a major story arc, and did nothing to progress it. But also that the songs were dumb, and the singing mediocre.

I do in fact have a system in place for in case I lose my keys.

And I don't have Special Forces training.

I'm not sure that does make me feel any better. It's like if the first five seasons of TNG were about them starting intergalactic wars because of crappy diplomacy.

Watching 'Torture of Tantalus,' 110—SG-1 gets stuck on the UN planet with Catherine's old boyfriend—and I'm annoyed.

Why is SGC painted as being so incredibly incompetent? They have a drone that goes through the gate to check for a DHD, but it doesn't make sure it isn't broken? They have nine teams, including the Marines in SG-3, but the first team sent through has the most important people, including a 65-year-old woman?

They don't have a back-up plan in place for in case a DHD is damaged? They could bring batteries with them to charge a gate. Don't they even have a protocol for checking in? How about: every mission, dial back immediately, and radio in a status report. If SGC doesn't get a dial in ten minutes, THEY dial YOU, and send what supplies you need.

I mean this is just basic, basic stuff.

I once used the Terminator Cannon to blow up a hospital.

True story.

If and when you do Kill Bill, you should do the whole thing in one sitting. Make it live, bring in relief pitchers, make it a whole thing. The movie deserves to be done as a piece; it wasn't intended to be split.

Heck, just do a DIF on the script. It's much better.

Tonight I finally got around to watching the last three episodes of the season of "Universe."

Goddamn that was good.

You are right indeed sir. I felt like the show finally found its foothold in those last few episodes. I can't believe season two is only three months away.

EDIT: Just watched 107, 'The Nox.' I think it's the first actually good episode of SG-1. Brian Finifter would be pleased.

Six episodes into the first season. This is pretty bad. I'm sort of suffering through while trying to get stuff done around the house, but it's still painful.

So when Claudia Black got added to the main cast, I said that they should redo the opening titles to have her chasing after SG-1 into the stargate…

And then they did it! Awesome!

There's an Atlantis movie written, and the sets are ready, but apparently there's some problems with the direct-to-DVD market, and actors' availability. And I wonder if at this point, they want to avoid confusion with the Universe…er…universe. It'd be weird to go back to hokey and tripodded when we've been watching Stargate: Galactica for a year.

I haven't gotten into Atlantis yet, so I dunno if I care about there being a movie. But I just finished season nine of SG1, and was pretty impressed. I actually think I prefer Browder to MacGuyver.

I think the American history movement is a reaction to our being such a freaking BLIP on the world stage. We've only been around for two hundred years, they seem to say, but by golly it's been IMPORTANT!

Yeah. I asked this guy from Nigeria which part of the country he was from, just because I wanted to get an idea if he was by the sea, or in the north, or what, and he launches into this HUGE discussion about the history of the country, and all the prejudices involved, and complains about how no one knows anything about Africa…which is all kinda pointless, because he's the only Nigerian I know and probably will ever know. Meanwhile, if I tell him I'm from North Carolina, I get a blank stare. Most people, I just say I'm from the east coast of America. But if I meet someone from the South, I get more specific.

The world's a big place, it's really impossible to keep all the borders and townships at a moment's remembrance.
