I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago, odd considering my love for 80s action movies. This is slight in terms of action (although the car chase is great) but the leads are extremely likeable. You buy that these dudes like and even care about each other which is pretty essential in a buddy movie. I also like that while the guys are good cops, they're not amazing at their job, they don't have any particular skills (no martial arts training for example), they are normal dudes who fuck up. I like that level of realism in the same decade that Arnold Schwarzenegger was playing superhumans.
OK, can we just get rid of this whole "first series, 5th series" thing? The show started in 1963. Just name the Doctor. That's all the "series" information we need!
I'd start with Tennant's run rather than Smith's. There are some crackers in there (Blink as an example). I think there are good eps and some shite in each series. Everyone has their own opinion and will like different ones. I know people who think Love and Monsters isn't a steaming pile of poop.
I think everyone agrees that Fear Her is awful, though.
Well, an exploding pacemaker, a house burning down and an accidental shooting is hardly nothing. Not sure what else you are expecting to happen this early on. I admit it is disappointing, I am not defending it but I have a feeling the real shit-hits-the-fan moments are going to happen towards the end of the season.
I refuse to live in a world where Fast & Furious 6 is considered to be a better film than Iron Man 3. It has been a shit year, sure but I'm not accepting that, sorry
Hell, the Evil Dead remake was a better film than Fast 6, although it's not a 'Blockbuster'.
Iron Man 3 is arguably better, I'll grant you that.
That is the one I'm thinking of, yeah.
But still, not saying Fast 6 ain't stupid as all hell, but it has been a REALLY shit year so far.
It has. Although, despite a rather fun third act, Fast 6 wasn't really up to much either, sadly. Nowhere near as fun as Fast Five. Yeah, it has been a bit of a shit year
This is certainly more just 'trailer' than 'cool trailer' but I only just found out that this is a fucking thing-
I'm a fan of the series (except that Seed of Chucky abomination) and while this doesn't look all that great, I'm glad they've rebooted the series. Plus, they still got Brad Dourif to voice the little creepy ginger fucker which is a good thing.
I love this episode so fucking much, it's great when you guys just shoot the shit.
The Dead Zone movie is awesome, if you have yet to see it, get it seen. I have a load of Stephen King books on my e-reader on my tablet and although I'm not a huge book guy, I have promised myself to change that. Instead of sitting looking through websites for something to read/do, why not read a damn book???
Tonight I watched Evil Dead (2013) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013). The former was a not rubbish remake/reboot/whatever and the latter was one of the most ridiculous action movies I have ever seen. Although, having seen Fast Five, I am not entirely sure what else I was expecting.
Yeah, I hate when people frame the debate as "pro-life" vs. "pro-death." I don't like abortion, but I don't think that the government has the right to regulate what women do with their bodies.
Yeah, he is saying people are 'pro-abortion' meaning they are all for abortion, they like abortion. That is not what people who are pro-choice are, they are not monsters. They just think women should do what they want with their own bodies (like you say)
He is being very particular with his wording, making people who are 'pro-choice' out to be worse than they are. Of course he is, he's a politician.
