Pretty much the same as the reading thread, but with vidya games!

I got a Wii U for Christmas, so I've got a few new games I'm going through at the minute. I've just finished the main story part of Batman: Arkham City and I loved it. There's still plenty of extra sidequests and the Harley Quinn's Revenge thing to play through, so I don't fully have that 'end of game sadness'.

I'm probably gonna delve in to Mass Effect 3 next. Having not played the others, I don't really know what to expect - but I've heard a lot of complaints regarding the ending.

The ICQ typewriter sound effect annoyed the crap out of me.

I loved the early days of the internet. I got my first computer back in 1999 and it had a whopping 6.4GB harddrive and 64MB RAM. I used that PC up until 2005 and by then it was severely underpowered.

Well this obviously didn't happen, but I'm trying again for this summer. The visa application deadline suddenly jumped forward and I just couldn't afford it, but it turns out my parents have been putting a bit aside for me every now and then since - so it's looking likely again.

I think my best bet is to just contact a number of post houses and hopefully get one that responds and if I'm lucky, actually gives me a shot. So, how would you say is the best way to 'present yourself' so to speak? Being British, I'm inclined to go the 'To whom it may concern' formal route - but I dunno!

Also, I'd also need a place to stay. So if anybody wants a roommate for the summer, I'm your man!

The sound of food/drink never bothers me. However, whenever I do go to reach in to grab some Monster Munch or whatever, the movie always seems to get to a quiet part.

I started Tom Baker's era today. Watched Robot pt1 thus far. Not too shabby. I'm plowing thru it all starting tomorrow tongue

Jimmy: Except that doesn't make sense for people who didn't grow up with the show.

I love Tom's first few seasons the most. Robot can be a bit ropey and you're in for some belter effects/model work later on.

I got a tiny lump of coal in my new toy garage one Christmas.

I love Louis Thereoux's stuff, although I do prefer his 'less-serious' work of Weird Weekends and the like.

If you wanna Paypal me some train fare, I may just do that.

London is a fair bit away from me, I'm afraid  hmm

Just a thought, the timecode is gonna differ depending on the format of the movie that the guys used. For instance, if they used a blu-ray copy to record a commentary - it wouldn't sync with the DVD copy due to the framerate.

You Only Live Twice and Goldeneye.

I got the big boxset, so I've been making my way through all the films and trying to rank them without any sort of nostalgia bias. So far it is...

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Goldfinger
From Russia With Love
The Spy Who Loved Me
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Dr. No
The Man With the Golden Gun
Diamonds are Forever
Live And Let Die

The real question should be: why wasn't the movie called Avengers Assemble and why wasn't that battle-cry used in the movie?

Owen, thanks for inspiring me to get off my ass and check out Hollywood Babble-On. I live in LA, so I'm one of the lucky ones who get to know Ralph from the radio show first.

Low key and funny. I like it.

That and DIF got me through the most mundane summer job imaginable.

Then again, he has also recently tweeted:  @colintrevorrow To clarify, there is another film we all love that I'm currently trying not to mess up. Odds I will direct Episode VII: 3720 to 1.
