I understand what you're saying, I still don't understand why they wouldn't just kill young Seth if they're willing to dismember him.

Weren't they just dimembering young Seth to fuck with old Seth? They were just prolonging his agony to freak him out because they're sadistic buggers. That's what I got from it anyway.

Hmmmm., I may watch the first episode later for free but I don't really want to pay for Netflix to see the rest. Netflix UK isn't that great, it has very little choice, but still- free first episode.

Because I like it big_smile

I won't post much else because I don't want to a) take over the thread and b) bore anyone wink

You're a little late to tell me not to panic. I've been panicking ever since I heard the news.

Dude, life's too short. It may not be as bad as you fear, you just need to relax smile

This is my Spidey cartoon, growing up-

That and re-runs of the '60s show. I loved this too-

Not very funny, sure, not intentionally anyway but they cheer me up smile

I like the legacy but I recognise it all the time and it's starting to annoy me. That and this one-

I'm sure there's another one too that does the rounds but I can't find it anywhere.

Well, I was born in '76, so a lot of the stuff I like you probably wouldn't. Hasbro has a habit of messing with animated shows to suit their properties to sell toys. They did it with Transformers and G.I. Joe back in the '80s. I wasn't too happy when they killed Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie but they brought him back. The backlash of Prime's death changed the ending of the GI Joe animated movie when Duke was originally supposed to die. So, don't panic yet smile

Nice. What are your favourite animated shows, MadBad? Apart from the obvious?

EDIT: Oh, and I recommend that you try to watch some Animaniacs, it was a fun show smile

I have started to read comics again and last night I read the limited series, Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe for the first time. It does what it says on the tin, the Merc with a Mouth goes a bit nuttier than usual and proceeds to murder fellow Marvel characters, evil and good. As is with all of these non-canon mini-series, it's throwaway stuff and practically meaningless as it ends in a meta fourth wall breaking way. The art is good but nothing special but issue 4 does have this pretty cool cover image, even though The Punisher looks like Joey from Friends-

Yeah, as a fan of Batman, I do enjoy the podcasts though Smith does tend to get in the way at times big_smile He interviewed Kevin Conroy and Mak Hamill about the animated series, so respect to him for that.

And that song he 'sings' at the start is bloody atrocious.

I have grown tired of Kevin Smith. I no longer listen to his podcasts (we get it Kev, you smoke weed, for fuck's sake)  but had to endure his ramblings to listen to his batman ones. I say 'had to', I obviously wasn't forced to but I love Batman, especially the animated series and really wanted to her Paul Dini talk about Mask of the Phantasm.

Also regarding Ebert and White, Ebert did say this-click

I do like Death Race, though, I must admit.

I'll get my coat...

Exactly and I started one on UK double acts. I didn't know how that would go but it was, as far as I know, well received.

I have other ideas for threads too but I can't be bothered big_smile

If it's just MLP, maybe not, but what about an animation thread? I do enjoy cartoons, I love a lot from the 80s/90s and I'm a massive fan of Hanna-Barbera, so I don't mind talking about cartoons. I just don't watch that particular one big_smile

Why don't you start a MLP thread? It'll be your very only thread to post as much MLP stuff you want in it smile

It was a joke, honest , just gentle ribbing smile

EDIT:

Jimmy B: I've been feeling really depressed lately. I needed to talk to someone.

Yeah, Depression is a bitch, going through it myself  (have been for the past decade) but you can actually just talk to us instead of posting stuff about MLP in a movie thread. Feel free to PM some one if you need to talk smile

Well, I personally have betrayed my race, but I mean the movies Squiggly cited were specifically "betray your race" type.

I was doing my own thing out of boredom so I expanded it a bit. big_smile
