Then again, we have real life examples of people doing just this (on a smaller scale) on a religious grounds. One of the worst person of modern time, mother Theresa had money and resources practically thrown at her to help her "angels". She withheld these resources from the children she was claiming to help. She believed in suffering.

If the motives of the Elysians were religious I would have bought it.

Love the show so far.
Both McConaughey and Harrelson are amazing.
Love the cinematography, the color palette and the framing is outstanding. The composition of some of the scenes are so well executed it is just pure poetry.

There is one thing that has been occupying my mind lately. That's the illegal downloads of shows like True Detective and Game of Thrones.

Torrenting is as much of a problem here in Iceland as in most other countries. But because we are getting both True Detective and GoT the day after they are shown in the States, I hardly ever hear about anybody illegally downloading these shows. I believe the this is the best way to combat illegal downloads. Offer the material at the same time (give or take a few days) at reasonable prices (here it comes with a tv station most Icelanders have at least access to if they are not subscribers themselves).

I'm not saying anything new here and I have nothing to back it up but anecdotal examples but I have this feeling that these shows are being downloaded here much less than other shows.

Hope you store the brennivín in the freezer. Served cold it's powerful stuff but warm it's not for everyone. Never ever take anyone up on eating the fermented shark with it. For me it's like candy but if you don't grow up with it... well it tastes like death.

How about having a more detailed first post for each commentary. Info on who were on the podcast with what ever info they want to plug (websites, projects, twitter, etc.) and a group photo of the participants.

An additional tally of consumed beverages could be interesting and somewhat relevant information
