I hate True Lies......*runs away*
(actually, 'hate' is too strong a word, it starts good and ends well but has a painfully boring middle. All the stuff with his wife is awful, in my opinion)

However, they're not all on Freeview (there isn't enough over-the-air bandwidth for 24 extra TV channels, so Freeview is only a couple of extra red button channels in the 30x range), but they are all on satellite, Freesat, cable and online.
Yeah, that is true. I didn't mean you could see everything on Freeview, hence the 'or' rather than an 'and'. Nah, I just worded it wrong, thanks for the lesson, though.
The BBC has done good with their coverage, I have watched some online and it was pretty good.
I don't have Sky, so I haven't seen them but I heard there are a lot. You can watch everything online anyway or via the red button on Freeview...... And I'm doing neither.
And yeah, I never thought of the opening ceremony being an ad for Bond, good one
This is very true, although it would be odd if they didn't make a LOTR reference somewhere, although, they are not really children's books, are they? They focused a lot on that type of literature so who knows.
I really enjoyed the music and movies part of the ceremony.
Pretty sure it was intentionally Shire-like. That is how they include Tolkien in the whole 'best of Britain' deal. I'm sure I read that somewhere.
No way in hell! And Lupa is good fun with the right film to review. Same with a lot of the folks at That Guy With The Glasses.
(I don't know why I typed 'too' in my last post, put it down to me being very tired and I should probably go to bed. I was fully aware you had finished it. Again-tired)
Dude, I had to stop watching it too! It's awful, no matter how hard Lupa tries, you just can't review that.....
Holy shit, I didn't know there was a new Lupa video out already! I have just watched her vid for No Retreat, No Surrender 2 on Phelous' site. I shall watch this new one now
The US get an Olympic TV spot for Bond? How dare they?
#fauxoutrage

I don't agree. She never smiles anyway in these situations, so if she had, she would have been out of character as herself.
If you watch the set-up to her reveal, it's shot specifically to make you wonder who they've got to play the queen, because (as far as I know) she has never done anything like this before. That she went along with the whole thing (including preserving continuity of costume -- the scenes at the palace were shot in March, and they had to make all the trees look summery in post) is good enough for me.
Yup, she has never done something like that before. The fact that she did it proves she has a sense of humour. She very rarely smiles in public (unless she is meeting people), she doesn't want to show that she has any favourites at events like the Royal Variety and whatnot.
Sure, but on the other hand.....
I think Darkman is an underrated film........
(and that poster is awesome )

What annoys me is the sex scene with Rachel Nichols having a body double. Now, I know body doubles are not new but I do think they are sometimes pointless. If your lead actress doesn't want to show her breasts, the character doesn't need to show her breasts. It was only a sex scene that added nothing to the plot therefore seeing the character's breasts was totally unnecessary.
Now, if it was Rachel Nichols' breasts, I wouldn't be moaning
This is Sir Patrick Stewart carrying the Olympic torch and a wee interview with the great man too-
I was glad Jameson wasn't in Amazing Spider-Man. Damn glad, actually, would've hated to have seen him so soon after the Raimi version.

Congratulations, you have a life
Woohoo!
It's already out on dvd/Blu Ray in the US and the UK.
I think it is is America, yes. Apparently people take babies to late night screenings because they usually just sleep through the film.
I watch neither Mad Men or Breaking Bad.
What do I win?
That is horrible. This fucking world, sometimes. Well, that's not fair, it's not the world's fault, it's the people living in it that are crazy.
The bit in that article about the little girl is heartbreaking.
I watched that live, online, it was awesome. There are better quality video out there ya know, people
(although, this is better as it is short rather than having to go through an entire panel just to see that moment, it does annoy me though that Zac said at the start of every panel 'no filming' and people did anyway)
John Cleese tries to explain Life of Brian to a couple of religious men. Deeply interesting on many levels.
If you're interested in that and like Monty Python, try to get hold of the TV Movie Holy Flying Circus. It was shown in the UK last October and it is an oddity, just like Python shows themselves. It tells the story of the run up to the debate and the infighting between Cleese and Palin before it. In an odd bit of genius, Palin's wife is played by the same dude who plays Terry Jones in drag......
Well, I've seen neither, so I can't comment on them
