Oh sure, you seem to be doing some great fun movies that I would love to sit off camera on, but they are all timed when I'm in crunch for two separate projects.
If I can I'll try to get away, but ... can't promise anything.

If I can I'll try to get away, but ... can't promise anything.
Wait, does that mean I can be two steps away from Orson Wells due to working on the Muppets? that's just ... my brain just did a slight double take at that.
Is it wrong to say I completely forget what we talked about on this one? Looks like I'll have to listen to it to refresh my memory.
I have to say, I went in to Paul a few weeks ago with ... mixed expectations.
I had forgotten that it had come out on dvd, so was surprised to see it, and realized that I had missed it completely in the theatre. I had recalled that it had gotten mixed reactions, but ... not what they were specifically, and that I had given it a pass due to ... well being busy.
But as big Frost & Pegg fan, I felt I should give it a shot.
And I was pleasantly surprised. I can definitely see where Teague is coming from in his comparisons to Super8, and how it approached its nostalgic feelings, and have to agree that while JJ did a great job recreating those feelings, as they would have been back then, Frost & Pegg managed to drag them to a new era, showing how that sense of nostalgia was transferring onto our generations.
[*]Staying with the Jaws theme, typing the first two letters displays unexpected items. A search string of "ja" returns the following results: Jaws, The Abyss, The Mist, Matrix Reloaded, The Terminator.[/*]
I looked at this, and what I can tell from experimenting is, that is is doing an overall search, so in the case of Jaws, JA is puling in anything that has Jake as a panelist, as it's searching not just the title, and so on.
I've still go two that I haven't gotten to (Karate Kid & Sixth Sense), but ... i've got a delivery deadline approaching for a screening, so not getting as much downtime, with a working brain, to do some good note taking.
I plan on making a go of at least one tomorrow, but ... if anyone wants to snag either of them I won't be hurt by it.
the scrolling issue I'm seeing in my default browser, which is Chrome (v13 i guess as it autoupdates) Firefox v5 seems to show the bottom entry fine, bringing the bottom just above the gradient. and in IE v9 I get almost a full entry's spacing from the bottom, so its fine as well, if slightly different.
I just jumped on my android tablet, and the default browser is able to scroll down all the way as well.
Hope that helps, cursed varied browser standards.
Definitely liking the look, the one "bug" that I'm seeing at first glance is when you scroll down the the bottom of the archive, in either of the sorting methods, that it seems to maintain the "shadow" effect of the scrolling, so you are only able to see the top half of the very last entry.
And while thinking of it, the current temp video, which was VERY AWESOME, even if temp, is on your (Teague's) vimeo account, so once its played, it offers up that one, and two more of your videos as "next", for the final edit, possibly creating a separate DIF account, or tailoring which videos queue up afterwords. ... not that there's anything wrong with pimping your own demo reel.

I have been tied up with work stuff, so haven't been able to listen with any amount of concentration at work, tonight I plan on sitting down and giving my batch a good listening to.
Throw me in for 87-91, and I'll see what I can get through and find.
I think were going to have much more than is usable time wise, but better to have a surplus of options.
ok, first 25 seconds of Crouching Tiger is gotta be the way that you start it, Teague just completely whiffing on the intro in a hilarious way.
Oh I'm a long time Muppet fan, though I'll admit I am a bit biased currently as I am actually working on the new one, yeesh sorry about the EU lag in release, that just really sucks for what seems like no real reason.
Talk about just asking for immediate torrenting of bad quality footage versions.
Along the lines of the "Let's do at least some of the early films before the new one comes out".
With the Muppet movie coming out around Thanksgiving, it might be time to get Chloe on to do Treasure Island, or any of the other great Muppet movies. Some great discussion of story, humor, puppeteering, and any number of things I could see ensuing.
I'm sure there is plenty for a release, just no recording would mean that the buffer continues to shrink.
I always find it amusing when there is a taping that is up the next day, as opposed to those that wait for a few to come out.
Always makes the new week a bit more interesting when there is the puzzle of what new thing will there be to entertain me.
I was going to say, I thought the buffer cupboard might be getting a bit bare.
Oh that's definitely the plan.
I've realized that I am in the past few months in a position where my finances are actually stable, and that while I am working a freelance gig, it is reasonably long term for now, and even if it ended I have pretty stable options open to me.
Before I was always a bit ... concerned that once a gig wrapped up, I would be eating into my savings for month to month cost, so the extra expenditure was something that I was hesitant about.
In the grand scheme of things, and if it wants to take its time, and not a cause pain, all well and good.
Just glad that it's not to bad anymore, but even still that was what almost a full week of pain? Yeesh.
Makes me knock on wood and count my blessings that I've not had any medical issues over the last few years, what being freelance and not wanting to deal with the extra outlay for insurance. Here's hoping the "discussion" of possibly offering me the a staff position actually bears fruit at some point.
umm, well yeah.
seems like coming in late on this was most of the main ideas have been said.
I tend to hit the front page often. As one of those folks who went with a zune instead of a ipod, I download direct, as well as subscribe, to get the un-enhanced versions.
But I also often bring up the site to show it to co-workers when the conversation drifts to what am I doing this weekend, or what am I listening to.
So I second, or 3rd or 5th, the idea of showcasing the archive in a more evident and visual way, if only to make showing it off to others even more fun.
I also like the rating system, as selfishly it would give me a reason to go back and re-listen to the full archive so I could rate intelligently. And would then allow for a "general consensus" of which episodes were the more interesting to assist in recommending to friends in the "well try out this one, and if you like it check out the others" type of moment.
I'll have to try again.
I haven't been able to make it past the first bit of the movie, and that was even with the Rifftrax audio overlayed.
When even that isn't enough to make it bearable then it really doesn't speak well of the material.
The video that got released post Comic-Con was really encouraging to me.
I still have to actually finish the first series, got through the first season before I had to stop due to other things taking up to much of my attention.
So now I have something to provide as a deadline to get through the rest before.
I say just throw up the time, and let the films themselves be a surprise.
