The whole third act is the reason why people are saying 'don't read spoilers'. I think people expect it to be just a 'cabin in the woods' type film with a killer or a monster. The fact that it goes in a different direction is reason enough to tell people to avoid spoiler, to let them experience that wonderful final third themselves. It takes a 'seen-it-all-before' horror premise, fucks with it and creates a batshit insane film that plays with convention and stereotypes. I think it is a pretty big twist.

You would think I thought the film was excellent when I'd give it a solid 3/5. I did love the last act though, that was awesome. smile

"Kevin" makes me laugh every time I see it.

I assume Kevin is most likely an analog of "Jason", but I prefer to imagine that somewhere in the menagerie there's some Lovecraftian horror inexplicably named Kevin.

I was thinking about that too and I like to think Kevin is a dragon. Not sure why, I just like the name "Kevin" for a dragon big_smile

I was initially hoping "Kevin" was the name of the Pinhead-type guy the main girl screams at, because that would be funny but I assume he's the 'Hell Lord' on the board.

That photo above is a bit of a spoiler. Just a bit. I must admit, though, I'm with Archives as I was hoping for 'Sexy Witches' too big_smile

Anyway, I enjoyed the film. I'm not in love with it as much as others seem to be but I did think it was good fun. It was clever and witty, although the game is pretty much given away in the opening credits if you're paying attention. I liked how the kids were unknowingly playing characters, that they were all unwittingly forced into being those roles. That is a clever way of getting round those stereotypes that you find in horror movies. I would like to know what the others were like in real life as Thor seemed to be a nice smart guy 'playing' a jock' and the virgin was apparently a slutty bitch. Does this men that the 'hot' girl (who I didn't think was all that attractive, but that may have been the point) was actually a nice person in real life?

Could someone explain to me how Marty was more aware than everyone else? I know it was something to do with the drugs but I must have missed that part. Is it maybe due to the fact that he wasn't really a dope smoker? smile

Oh, fuck yeah. You guys shouldn't do it if you ain't having fun.

Although, I don't think they're the type of guys who would travel to Teague's house to record if they didn't want to. Especially as Mike had other stuff to do after recording today.

I like those Disney posters  smile

Thanks smile And I was going through that second rough patch round about the time of the Wanted commentary. That day will always hold a special place in my heart. Puke-inducing, I know but it doesn't make it any less true big_smile

You guys rock! You are those crazy friends that I would probably hang out with after someone stole my lunch money...so, your comments and humor often make me laugh and help chores go by better.

I second this. I also like that you guys will tell us to piss off if we've been hanging around you for too long. That sort of honesty is rare big_smile

That's funny. I like how his/her name is appropriate and I'd like to know who the ONE person who found their review helpful.

DiF got me through some tough times. Two years ago (on the 30th March), my sister was involved in a bus crash that left one of her friends dead and your podcasts got me through. And last year, in the space of two weeks I lost my grandfather (to Cancer), my cousin (to suicide) and a family friend (again to that fucker Cancer) but a couple of live shows with DiF cheered me up no end and for that, guys, I am grateful smile

The me posting porn bit, not the button. Though, I doubt that'll happen either. Maybe. Well, no, it wouldn't be specific to my name, I'm not a pervert. Jeez, you mention porn one time.... big_smile
