It's a three syllable surname, it is not "stor-mare" it's "Stor-ma-re", roughly pronounced "Stoohr-Mah-raeh"
So…Stormare, but with an annoying thick Swedish accent? Naw, I'll stick with Store-mare, thanks.

Pink Five.
I remember seeing 'The Brothers Grimm', and my only thought was, 'why did I just watch a silly movie shot entirely on sound-stages?'. To be honest, the only Gilliam movie that's ever impressed me is the bits of 'The Man Who Killed Don Quixote' that made it into the documentary.
Dorkman wrote:Yeah, see that one, that's a slur.
"Muggle" is the clinical term, it just sounds sorta negative. Mudblood is the M-word.
I don't recall a derogatory alternative to "Squib" (the non-magical offspring of magical parents), but is there one? You'd think that'd be the one with the nastiest name - being the non-magical child of a wizard family would be worse than just being a Muggle. Or is Squib the slur?
/too lazy to google
/cause i'm a netsquib
'Squib' is a lot like 'bastard'. If it's true of you, you can't really be too put out when someone calls you it, but then, when someone calls you it, they're not typically saying it nicely.
The character I'm most interested to see cast is Davos Seaworth, The Onion Knight. He's a pirate who was Knighted by Stannis and has a pretty interesting arc.
Ah, did you miss that news? It was a bit overshadowed by the casting of Stannis. Davos is going to be Liam Cunningham, an Irish actor who's been in a ton of stuff but recently I've seen him as the head of the city on Outcasts. Great actor, and I can't wait to see him get his teeth into a GRRM character.
They never talk about the score because they can't hear the movie while they watch it.
I look forward to the eventual video-only DIF movie score commentary.
While I've got you here, what do you think of the casting of Stephen 'Thomas Jefferson' Dillane as Stannis? I never quite got a good read on who the Baratheon brothers were from the show, but from where I'm at in Book One so far, I can tell Stannis is going to be a BIG part of next season.
So I avoided this thread until I finished the show…
Wow, yeah, Game of Thrones is possibly the best TV I've seen in the last ten years. So amazingly good. I'm knee-deep in Book 1, now, too. Can't wait until I can find out what happens in Clash of Kings.
I'm flexible, by which I mean cheap.
It's the pulse-pounding story of an architect-surfer with awesome abs who survives a strange shark attack only to find himself drawn to the sea every full moon, where he transforms into a horrible fish monster that feasts on the blood of innocent swimmers. Can he keep his terrible secret from his buxom girlfriend by sequestering himself in their pool despite her habit of late-night topless swims? Can he regain the credit for his building design, stolen by his boss while he was recovering? Can he hunt down the strange, otherworldly demon shark that bit him before he is found out by the crazed monster hunter he has hired to help him? ONLY TIME WILL TELL
SOLD
I'd rent Robot Invaders of Dinosaur Island. Just think, it'd be right next to 2005's Robots on the video store shelf.
Ewan McGregor, now, that's a fella who doesn't want to leave his drinks unattended in the pub when I'm in town.
Nor I, sir. Nor I.

I love that we need science to explain that people driving cars cause congestion.
No, apparently this article says that roads cause congestion. Which seems to me like an argument that banks cause robberies.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Carmageddon have been a thing if people hadn't heeded the warnings and stayed home?
Until then, it's Russians all the way down.
FIFY
This is actually what I thought the thread was about going in.
The Birdcage.
The Complete Collection of the Chief Executive's Masculine Primates
Can I please just call Brian out for his pronunciation of Tudyk. I mean really dude, whaaa?
If we start calling Brian out on things, where, really, will it end?
Wait a second. Now I—wait. Did—
Huh?
Sycophants!
It's not sycophantic if you've known a guy for ten years.
Then it's just gay.
I like that you can have not just Circles, but Venn Diagrams. So while Teague, Dorkman, and Brian are all in "Down In Front", I can have Teague and Brian also in "Online Besties", and just Teague in "Real Life Besties".
Teague's also in his own Circle.
It's called "Super Awesome People".
No, you can't have in.
A. No, we built the whole "live" portal manually to combine Tinychat and Justin.tv. B. What big problem?
The main problem with TinyChat (which this thread isn't about) is that it's a tiny little box that can't be popped out, moved, resized, or used on anything but my main PC. To say that my setup when trying to watch the video, play the movie, participate in chat, look up stuff online, and still do regular social media stuff is convoluted would be kind at best.
Again this thread isn't supposed to be about the DIF chat. I mainly meant that it would be nice to be able to talk to some of the DIFers, and also during live shows, without cluttering up the TinyChat with off-topic stuff.
To be clear, this isn't about hating on DIF chat (which sucks and needs to die), it's about finding new ways to connect with the DIF community.
How would this work, what are the upsides, what are the downsides, what is the implementation on our end, etc.. I do not want multiple chat rooms happening for one broadcast.
Obviously it wouldn't be great for the 'official' chat—IRC would be better for that—but I always have multiple chats running during DIF.
Uh, can we, say, talk about this?
Just cause I don't want to get into a big discussion doesn't mean you can't. Go for it.
OK so I really don't want to get in a big discussion about Google Plus here, I'm just wondering if anyone's on it so we can all add each other and chat there next time there's a live DIF rather than using the horrible TinyChat.
Alternately if you want an invite or whatever you can post or DM me and I'll send…but the system's pretty capricious about who it lets in and not.
