Eric Jacobson now does Fozzie and Piggy, he has done since 2000 when Oz retired. I have heard him perform them in tv specials and on albums (what can I say, I'm a fan) and I've got used to it, though you can tell a slight difference.
At this time every year, we Americans give thanks that we don't live in Europe anymore.
Aw, I wish we weren't in Europe anymore. Although, technically, we're not in Europe. Except, we are, but not really. But yes..... It's all very confusing
(that wasn't a 'Trey knows nothing response', I'm fully aware he was joking, I'm just joining in, before anyone gets the wrong idea, you know how forums are )
Woah, I didn't suggest BTTF as a movie for them to do a commentary for, so it doesn't sount. And my point is- I love BTTF, I don't really care about Potter. A 9th movie would mean nothing to me
I don't really care about a 9th Potter film (I've yet to see the 5th, the 6th and both of the 7th's) but when Dorkman mentioned a 4th BTTF I remembered just how scared I get sometimes.
Gerard Butler was on UK tv a couple of months ago playing for Celtic in a charity football match and when he was being interviewed he was all sorts of Scottish
(this has nothing to do with anything really, you just reminded me about it when you mention Butler )
I wonder if they've tried to hold back some of the brogue and burr to make it easier on international audiences?
I'd say that is exatly it. A lot of folk outside of the UK still can't understand what we're saying most of the time. Although to be fair, a lot of folk inside the UK can't either. I'm glad they actually hired a lot of Scottish actors to be honest.
I know Billy Connolly has toned his accent down since he became world-famous. You should have heard him on British tv or on his concert albums during the 80s. And listen to Craig Ferguson when he has a Scottish guest on
Anyone listen to the podcast, 'How Did This Get Made?' They talk about bad films (annoyingly, it's mostly brand new or recent ones) and this week they tackled The Room. They also had a special guest in the form of the dude who played Mark in the film. It's quite an interesting listen. link-http://www.earwolf.com/show/how-did-this-get-made/
Regarding the Intermission intermission talk that mentioned Kirsten Dunst. I don't find her the least bit attractive (sorry, John) but she gets her boobs out in Melancholia and they are nice boobs. Plus, they're...... ummmmmm.... they're not small.....
I quite liked Tropic Thunder but it's not a film I could go back to (despite owning the Blu Ray). Still haven't seen The Social Network, though, to my shame.
I know the Iron Man 2 commentary hasn't been released yet but you guys were trying to work out why they cast a different Howard Stark in Captain America but you didn't come to the most obvious conclusion- they needed to cast an actor 20-whatever years younger than John Slattery. I don't think it is for any reason other than that
