I'll take the first 5 episodes. I own all those movies.
Two in Chronicles of Riddick. First, Trey mentions that Ghost Dench can fly, but not travel to wherever Riddick is. Teague replies, "So she IS Space Ghost, but she is NOT Coast to Coast." Or the whole talk about the "party in the back" from the same episode.
Ooh, for some good insightful stuff that syncs up well to video, how about any moment in Surrogates where someone says "Why are there screens in this universe?!" or something similar.
If I said that I was about to post exactly that, almost down to the letter, would you believe me? No? Well, that's okay.
What I think it comes down to is that more of the movies need to be more prominent. One big thumbnail and 6 tiny ones on a page aren't as enticing as, say, 15 or 20 medium-sized ones, all with a snarky log line.
Also, I believe that analysis and criticism now fall under fair use, so the clip idea is well-protected.
Hm, I don't think so. Because whenever they show it spinning in the safe, it's always perfectly flat. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't seen the movie in full in a while.
I never got the whole theory that the ending is a dream. The top clearly starts to wobble. If it was a dream, that wouldn't have happened. It would have kept a perfect spin.
Also, why do they synchronize the kicks? Because then the story has falling action without stalling to kick on each level.
Sorry, bad word choice. What I meant was that dying apparently sent him to Limbo all over again, and also apparently 80 years later, at least from Saito's point of view. Did he go to a deeper level of Limbo?
Also, this never made sense to me. How does Cobb go from getting stabbed by his wife to magically appearing on the shore again?
EDIT - NM, I think the reason they go all the way up is because there are no levels of dreams going on above them... but if that's the case how did Cobb and Mal get to limbo in the first place? Hrmm...
I was literally about to write that. But my biggest problem with Limbo was the fact that killing yourself in Limbo sends you back. If that's all you have to do, then why is everyone so concerned about it?
Brian Finifter, everybody! He'll be here all week.
Dorkman hates Jews, now you hate Jews.

I think that Disney has turned into Tim Burton. They wouldn't know a good story if it bit them in the ass, so they just throw everything at the wall and hope something sticks. If it does, it's a perfect example of the overall "rightness" of their method. If it doesn't, it's for exterior reasons, like bad marketing or other films drawing away tickets.
That's right: Disney operates under a conspiracy theory. And they make billions of dollars every year.

Somehow, I always knew.
...It's pronounced Mahl in the movie.
Congrats for holding together during such drastic circumstances. Hope Teague gets well soon.
That's fine, then. I'm just saying that if someone says the total narrative of a season is superior to the experience of watching the first episode, that's not invalid. Is the entire Harry Potter movie series worthless bullshit because the first movie is kind of dull and childish?
That's a really apt comparison, especially since Game of Thrones is based on a book.
At the end of the day, that's just how TV shows work. You can have faith in a show (or the people that recommended it to you) that it will improve, or you can throw it away and move on to the next thing. But you won't know until you try.
But, but, you, like, don't understand, man! Kubrick made the hotel geography all messed up to make you feel uncomfortable! Also, there was no 9/11 and the moon is just a giant photograph that Nazis hung in the sky to confuse America into submission.
What about Rise of the Lost World: Jurassic Park? Just do what Rise of the Apes did, but with dinosaurs. You don't have to make them intelligent, but you can do similar characters with similar motivations.
The liberals in Congress hate freedom! I'm sorry that Electric Boogaloo isn't "PC", but I have the Constitutional right to say it!
Brian made a Harry Potter reference! Isn't that one of the signs of the end times?
I'd like to see Birdemic 2: The Birapture. Or maybe Bird2mic.
The brief hour that I spent in the chatroom was wonderful. Great commentary guys. I can't wait to hear the whole thing!
Birdemic gets significantly more entertaining once the titular event starts at about 45 minutes in.
