Ouch.

(I'm not familiar with "Ocean Marketing"... any chance of a definition?)

Kill Bill is not that great. It feels like an over-indulgent fan film that has more style than substance, a 4-hour-long homage to old movies.

And Chicken Little Pointy. Although... Chicken Run is better by a tiny little bit tbh now you mention it.

Not to change the topic... but, I was reminded of something...

Chicken Little is one of the best animated movies of the last 20 years. As is Ice Age.

Honestly not sure how unpopular that is, I don't really hear a lot of people talking about either of them, I guess I'll find out. tongue

If they bring back Samuel L Jackson, then I'm out. Hopefully Disney realises that he was a horribly miscast actor playing a horribly underdeveloped and boring character who spent most of the time holding the stupid ball.

I'd be more concerned if they brought him back WITHOUT realizing he was a horribly miscast actor playing a horribly underdeveloped and boring character who spent most of the time holding the stupid ball.

At least if they know about it, then they can fix it, and anyone with half a brain cell would rewrite Windu into the badass motherfucker he should be.

Alright... that might be a good thing to throw in a disclaimer. hmm

If that's your project, whatever, that's fine, but as a general guide to being on a set... little out of place.

Regardless of whether or not getting captured is his intention... What's with the glass prisons lately? Between Avengers, Skyfall, and now this it's getting a little ridiculous.

I all fairness though Star Trek has always kinda had a thing for it's brigs being large 3 sided rooms with small benches on the side, the front composed entirely of a force field/glass with glowy lights around the edges.

...I need to make a modification to my last statement.... BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I think I figured out what happened here. All of my love that would have been going towards Into Darkness, instead got directly funneled into the sheer epicness that is the Cumberbatch and there was none left for the movie. It makes so much sense!

I'd say the same...I did actually really enjoy the first one, and I'm not by any means a Star Trek fanboy... but I've only heard about Into Darkness maybe 3 or 4 times. In my little universe there's been no marketing for it. Actually until I saw the video in the Cool Videos thread I'd actually completely forgotten it was a thing.

The Hobbit on the other hand, I am so freaking excited for!! (I'm actually getting the art book for Christmas...presuming it gets here in time... yeah... my family doesn't really do the whole suprise christmas present thing So PSYCHED!!!)

It's weird to say, but I have absolutely no feelings about this movie at all. I'll go see it, but I just have no feelings about it. It's looks like it will be a thing...so...okay.

It's hard to describe.

Really? Strange, Serenity always kinda puts me off for some reason. It just feels like half a degree off from what really makes Firefly Firefly for me.

Don't get me wrong, I still love it, but on the Pixar scale type graph of Firefly, it's just slightly lower than basically all of the series (If it's between Heart of Gold and Serenity...Serenity wins)

I'm sincerely curious as to what the difference in between Channing Tatum and Megan Fox and Ryan Reynolds and ScarJo.

Channing Tatum and Ryan Reynolds do not belong to a gender group that has historically been oppressed, otherized, and objectified. Idealized men are the powerful, complex people you want to be. Idealized women are things men want to fuck. Any other questions?

This is something that has always confused me about this argument (which I'm not entering btw, I'm just trying to figure something out). But what is the difference between every girl I know watching the trailer for Magic Mike and going "I would fuck the shit out of those guys." (Literal quote from one of my friends... and several more had variations on it), and a guy watching the trailer for Transformers or Avengers or whatever and thinking or saying the exact same thing about Megan Fox or ScarJo or whoever?

I've never understood why one is considered fine and socially acceptable but the other is consider vile putrid sexism.

By all accounts it's making them worse

Yeah I don't understand that. People watch TV in higher frame rates/refresh rates and they don't get headaches. It just doesn't make sense. I think there's a bit of a placebo effect going on there, or it's just the 3D and people are convinced that it's frame rate because of all the hooplah.

I'll just point out, and I'm probably the only one, but watching anything on a TV with that higher refresh rate for too long does give me a headache. I can't stand it.

3D on the other hand, I can watch for hours on end without so much as a twitch (and I did this in fact, when they released Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D in that marathon event thing...yep....4 hours straight of 3D... perfectly fine with it)
