I've been saying that for months. From what I've seen of the trailer, his London accent is shit, and only, like, 60% of that stuff actually happened.
I don't think Cruise cares much about sequels, especially to something like Edge of Tomorrow
Unfortunately I wasn't referring to the reduced chance of sequels to EoT specifically, I meant less chance of a studio risking another mega-budget non-franchise project. "Hey, Edge of Tomorrow was GREAT and it died. Fuck it, let's just make a movie about PopTarts or something."

Oh yeah, true. Cruise has the pull to do whatever he wants (altho he's not executive producing for some reason), but other stuff is out of the question for now, especially with Will Smith's faceplant in After Earth and the lukewarm performance of Elysium.
My sincere hope is that Interstellar is a massive success, and with Gravity and Interstellar killing it box-office-wise back-to-back, we'll at least get some good smart space sci-fi for a few years.
GOTG has the Marvel label. It'll open big, or at least modestly big.

Well, I am. But, I liked the Hobbit films (as usual, I am an outlier). Personally, I would like some more insight in to what Battle of Five Armies will entail, besides a battle of five armies*

His solution is Ultron, self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark’s Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers instead.

I have no problem with faceless bad guys, as along as the chief villain is truly villainous. So, I'm still optimistic.
I really like this poster. These are the kinds of images I had in my head when I first read The Hobbit.

I have a strange relationship with the Hobbit movies. I want to like them and despite their many flaws I can't help but have some positive feeling toward them and I did enjoy the experience of watching them in the cinema.
But then, love doesn't have to be unconditional.
Maybe it just literally means the entire movie will be people standing around giving definitions to various words.
The eventual tie-in video game could feature words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee intercut with fight scenes.
Surely the "defining chapter" is the appendix at the end of Return of the King, with all the language and hobbit pedigrees and such.
Very happy they'll finally be getting that.
I have to laugh at "defining chapter" just because the Battle of Five Armies is the part most people forget is in the book at all. If you read it as a kid you remember Riddles in the Dark, you remember Smaug, and then you re-read it as an adult and go "Whoa, there's a whole battle in here!"
