I remember hearing about this going into production quite a few years ago. I think it was when Hoult was riding the post-Skins, pre-X-Men tide. It sounds like I'll enjoy it, but I'll probably wait for the DVD.

Nice review. I'm a little biased for this movie... because well..it's the first real movie I ever worked on...so there's that (I haven't seen it yet, obviously). But I'm curious, why zero mention of the novel it's based on?

I literally didn't know there was a novel until I spotted it at a bookstore a few days after seeing it. I'll probably give it a look in the near future.

BTW, congrats on your work! I was pretty impressed with the CGI. I assume your work was mostly Bonies? Anything you can spill about it?

I just saw the movie tonight. I like it. It's something I would have liked to take a date to when I was in high school.
Well said, Doc Sub, I agree. I felt less that Malkovich was being held back, and more that he was phoning it in.
The Twilight saga wishes that one of its movies was this movie.
I'd see it again.
I'd be interested in seeing it get the DiF treatment.
