Curious how the mansion will figure into this one.  Pretty remarkable story, worth looking into if you're not familiar with it.

Re: 127 Hours

I think this story is perfect for Danny Boyle, actually.  If they ever did a fictional version of Touching the Void, same thing.

"Some members of the audience in Toronto fainted without injury due to the realistic amputation scenes."

I'm never watching this movie.

You know Dorkman, I'm not usually the squeamish type...but something about self amputation with a dime store pair of pliers irks me a bit too.

Re: 127 Hours

I watched the first 5 SAW movies with no problem. But this movie I can't deal with.

It's probably the part where this actually happened. I can't reassure myself it's just a movie -- because even though James Franco walked away with both arms, the guy he's playing didn't.

Yep, right there ith you. (Although I havn't seen any of the Saw movies...mostly due to an overwhelming supply of indifference to the whole series.)

Re: 127 Hours

For my part I'm intrigued enough by the story, and hold Mr. Boyle in high enough regard that I'd like to try to catch it.

Though I'm with Dorkman on the whole amputation part, so I might just have to avert my eyes for while.

Huge respect to Aron Ralston though; I'm not sure if in the same situation I'd have been able to do what he did.

Re: 127 Hours

If you read the Wiki, just the DESCRIPTION of the process with which he amputated his arm was almost too much for me.
