My favorite comment from Firefly about Reavers was that they would rape you to death if they managed to take the ship.

As much as I do love Reavers, I am kinda dissappointed in Joss for being like "you want Reavers, Well BAM there's your Reavers", in Serenity.They should have stayed this ominous unseen foe.

But then that's just me.

Definitly, 500% disagree. Joss knew Serenity would be the last chance to tell any part of this story. I'm sure he really, really wished that it wasn't, but he knew it was. Reavers were ominous the entire season of Firefly, and busting them out the way they did in Serenity was awesome. He wasn't like "BAM REAVER FIGHT LOL" he was like, "BAM REAVERS and WHY!".
