Re: My Favorite Martian

Two morning-after corrections:

1. Shelley Malil didn't kill his wife, he attempted to kill his girlfriend.

2. Komodo was directed by Michael Lantieri, not John Bruno. I got my fx supervisor-turned-directors mixed up.

Oh, you guys. Nice job on the video feed lol

Re: My Favorite Martian

So I finally experienced listening to one of our commentaries not only without the film, but never having seen it at all. It really does work surprisingly well.

Anyway, cool stories bro. Really fun to listen to.

Re: My Favorite Martian

I think this may be the first time you've done a remake where the original was never mentioned. Well, apart from explaining the Hulk bits were a sort of tribute to Bill Bixby.

I think I can speak for a lot of people by saying "This is a remake???"

Re: My Favorite Martian

It's based on an old TV show. That it's a show which isn't remembered brings up the question of why they bothered. I've never seen it, or at least I don't remember seeing it. My Favorite Martian wasn't one of the sitcoms which was in local syndication in the 70's when I was absorbing your Bewitched or Vick Van Dyke Show's. Youtube seems to have some of the episodes.

Yes, or maybe a bit of sequel/remake combination. Ray Walston's character is supposed to be the same:

I still enjoy this movie and once again find myself not understanding the reactions I have seen. Must be a childhood nostalgia or something.

I would love to hear the Martian vocal track

God loves you!

Re: My Favorite Martian

I watched this movie quite a bit when I was younger, just in a "Oh my mom bought this VHS I guess I'll watch it" kinda way. Seems like a rewatch might be in order... maybe.

Well gents, that was fun, I missed storytime with Trey big_smile

Also first time using the youtube video. It's a small thing but it's nice not having to download the file to listen.
