Spend 90 minutes as a fly on the wall watching Sly edit the Director's Cut on Rocky IV... it's interesting to say the least.
Fantastic insight.
Sly should get into making staff room motivational posters - half of what he says is steeped in philosophy - I go as far as saying a modern day poet. Failing that, he's just a super affable guy.
Also the him gripping a C47 insert shots made me titter

I just wanna go back to Sly for a second - he seems to be very full of heart as a person - reflected in Rocky and deeply shown in his vision of how the mythology of the Rocky franchise should be. It was lovely to see how much he lives in the story - refreshing to see his directorial decisions come from somewhere. I accept best picture going to Rocky over SW. I doff my cap to him. (now re-watching the Rocky's)

Man, that guy's fucking voice. He could do anything with that voice.
I'll just leave this here.
Tom Scott did a collaboration with Beardyman (if you're unfamiliar with him, but he looks familiar, he's Jay Foreman's brother, but to a lot of people Jay Foreman is Beardyman's brother).
I was in awe through the whole process and I've listened to the resulting track roughly five times a day the past couple days since this came out.
I had absolutely no idea Foreman and Beardy were related.
Mind blown.
It's easier to see the resemblance in older photos of him with longer hair.
British YouTube circles just seem like they're really fun, and more interconnected.
Popping in to say I highly recommend checking out Beardymans streamed concerts if you get a chance (I think he keeps the VODs around, can't remember off hand), what he shows off of his machine in the Tom Scott video is like a fraction of a fraction of what it (and he) are capable of. That machine is a work of art in it's own right.
Yeah, the UK youtube venn diagram intersects a lot. Example: I joined a motorbike ride out in the south west of England and bumped into 3 moto-vloggers. I do find Tom Scotts longer format 'trying new things' adventures a little bit cringe. But, since I've already shook the mans hand, I will now doff my cap for giving it a go.
Also, the song slaps.

Yes, Yes it is. And I can't begin to understand how it works.
Tom Scott's new vid isn't a million miles from me an is absolutely a road I have to take the Tiger on.
I knew it. Distorted Violin rocks.
Just going through my Igudesman and Joo annual phase

Oh WOW. It's been a HAWT sec since I did an Igudesman and Joo binge.
WELP. *puts on diving cap*
Here we go.
I'm in good company
I love this thread. This thread is good.
Sorry, just wanted to participate in the good thread.
(*walks off singing Map Men theme*)
Okay, cool vid to sum (see what I did there? a mathematics joke <<<). But mainly just pointing out I used to live in this very place before I moved down south.
