Re: Suggest an Episode
Movies I think are underseen, and could be really interesting studies in story and VFX:
Reign of Fire
Push (with Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans)
The Eagle

Coraline is stil begging for a commentary. I rewatched it the other night and everything about it is amazing. The screenplay is soooooooooooo fucking good, the design of the world is creepy and cool, and oh my god the SCORE you guys. Please talk about this movie forever.

Re: Suggest an Episode
As weird and kinda fascinating as Prince of Darkness is in places, I think They Live, Big Trouble in Little China, and Escape from New York, and even In the Mouth of Madness, would have way more to talk about (both in terms of why the movies are awesome, and how influential they've all been), and should happen first.
Prince of Darkness is full of cool ideas, but it doesn't have the budget to execute them properly, and a lot of the acting is terrible, so it's kind of an odd duck in Carpenter's filmography.

Re: Suggest an Episode
It is an odd film, one of the reasons I love it. The acting is about the same as it always is, as Carpenter is using his usual actors. The lead is a bit dull, but he's supposed to be. And, hey, you have to love a movie that combines Gnostic Christianity with quantum physics

^In the spirit of the above, It's a Wonderful Life for Christmas? I think it could actually be very interesting to discuss.

On this day in 1976, Network was released.
When Mike's back on the recording couch, how about a couple of Sidney Lumet movies?
12 Angry Men, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Network...

Well since you guys tend to just follow whatever the current trend in podcasting at any given time, my suggestion would be that you set out to solve a 15 year old murder

Re: Suggest an Episode
The Sony/North Korea war. Being in the industry, I don't expect anything said about what was leaked, but maybe you could talk about the greater issues.
Re: Suggest an Episode
Did anyone check out Bellflower? Coolest indie flick to come out in years, that and the director built cameras to shoot it

A friend of mine produced it. I go on at length about it in an upcoming episode.

How about Edge of Tomorrow? (Or as the box cover and advertising want you to call it "Live. Die. Repeat")
