Topic: It's all over!
So the time has finally come Arri, Aaton, and Panavision have stopped the production of all their film camera's and are going completely digital from here on out. Digital has fought and won the battle for control of motion pictures for the future.
When I first heard about this my original thought was (That was quick). But after some thinking about the subject my thoughts changed to (its about time).
So whats next for movies? Is it going to be higher resolution, 3D images, 48fps, etc? If digital is the hype now what will be the next hype?
This also makes me wonder why do a lot of big film schools start there students on 8mm or 16mm film when soon enough they are not going to be used at all?
