Re: Suggest a movie!
It's on the short list for future recordings, actually.

It is? Huh. Still never saw it and it was never a comic book I was ever into.
I would straight up cry tears of rainbow sugar if you guys did "For A Few Dollars More" or "Unforgiven."
For A Few Dollars more is perfect. I'll never forget the pocketwatch's chimes until the day I die- and when I saw them reference that moment in Pirates III I about came. In my shorts.
Unforgiven is just damn awesome. And speaking of Eastwood, I would laugh my ass off at Brian, Trey, and Fig trying to handle sitting through Space Cowboys.
*EDIT*
Didn't you say you were a fan of westerns, Eddie? If so, I assume you've read Preacher and if not STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING and go read the entire run of Preacher. Easily my favorite graphic novel of all time, far and away. I took my wrestling name from one of the characters.

I love Space Cowboys, but that came out in the same TPM/WWW period of my life.

You say that like I wasn't right there with ya, buddy. I'm 21, remember? I went and saw Space Cowboys with my dad, it was the first time I saw ANY of those guys in a movie, and I thought it was AWESOME.
Especially when Two-Face flies a rocket to the moooon. Or however that movie ends.
Is that the one with Jim Rockford, Dirty Harry and Agent Kay? Yeah, never saw that one.
"Unforgiven," though, is a goddamn masterpiece.
No, that's it. Two Face, moon, etc..
Oh, and, spoilers.
I've been pushing for Constantine since the day we started DIF, I love that movie lots and lots, and I care naught that it was based on a comic I've never read. (When it comes to comics, unless it's Watchmen or The Rocketeer, I have not read it.)
Which might be why I can love Constantine so much, apparently the movie disappointed some fans of the comic. I feel fortunate not to have that problem. It was a movie about which I had no expectations at all, and it rocked my face like a sheep in a... thing that rocks a sheep's face. You know what I mean.
And Unforgiven? Oh man, I would loves me some Unforgiven, too. Yes, please. What comic was that based on, anyway?
Trey, I might suggest Preacher to you too. I know you're not a comic book guy and Preacher certainly isn't on the intellectual level of Watchmen, but let me paint a picture for you.
A swearing, drinking, smoking, ass kicking preacher and his hot as shit ex-hitwoman girlfriend find themselves teamed up with a drinking, smoking, asskicking Irish vampire on a mission to track down God and literally kick his ass and make him be God again. They're being chased by essentially Clint Eastwood's character at the end of Unforgiven- except this guy is even scarier. This is accompanied by vivid depictions of tits, unimaginable gore, and manliness. And while that description sounds like it could either be brilliant or unforgivably retarded, it's written with a sense of humor and point of view that I think you'd enjoy from what I know of you as a headfriend.
You're not the first person to suggest Preacher is worth a look, if I ever get 'round to sampling a comic then Preacher is very high up on a very short list.
Actually, now that I think about it there was somekinda Firefly comic on the coffee table at Teague's place last time I was over there, I read the whole thing while waiting for showtime. So that makes three comics I've read.
Preacher was a huge influence on my writing, and I own the entire run. Trey, I was one of the people who have recommended not only Preacher, but anything Garth Ennis writes.
Kyle, I never said I wasn't into westerns, I said I wasn't into SPAGHETTI westerns, and there is a difference. I love me some Peckinpah, though. I want my Cowboys caked in blood, whisky, and Tuberulosis, which is how Peckinpah made them.
The second trade paperback of Preacher, called, "Till the End of the World," is in the same league with Alan Moore or Frank Miller.
I've finally listened to the Star Trek commentary and looked over the boards, and had the thought... why not do an episode of the fan show Star Trek Phase II? Contrast low budget geek Trek to new big budget pop Trek. If you do the latest two parter Dorkman can comment on the love story

I'd rather stab myself in the throat.
It sucks that there are like 10 movies in the series but I wouldn't mind seeing one of the Harry Potter's done, actually.
I'd love to hear your take on any of the Pegg/Frost/Wright work, just for the record.
Chinatown and Rush Hour are great suggestions.
I've said it before and Ill say it now. I want a "Noir Month" and Chinatown needs to be a part of this.
Oooh. Chinatown talk gave me an idea.
Big Trouble in Little China, mayhap?
It's more than a little appalling that you guys haven't already done Raiders.
