Re: Introduce us to a song you like and say something about it.
I posted this in another thread, but this song has taken on a new significance recently for me.
Song: Oculus Artist: Project 86 Something: It's a reflection upon death and life and things remembered. Since my grandfather passed, it's been on my mind.
Re: Introduce us to a song you like and say something about it.
Song: Out of Pawn Artist: Anaïs Mitchell Something: This one contains what's probably my favorite lyric of all time:
SPOILER Show
You can hold her hand, you can kiss her face Go slow if you can, 'cause the world is a very sad place, And when she leaves, she'll leave no trace, And the world will still be there.
Re: Introduce us to a song you like and say something about it.
I'm not gonna stop at like, sorry.
Song: Dryad of the Woods Artist: Pain of Salvation Something: This instrumental is my favorite instrumental that ever was. It's become the theme of my relationship with my girlfriend, because I used to play it to her back in '11 (5 years before we got together, that is). It's the first time I ever dared play an instrument in front of someone else (took me a while, yeah). It's the song I've most played in my life, my acoustic guitar could almost play it without me by now. It's the most poetic piece of guitar music I've ever known, full of melancholy and timeless. It puts visions of autumnal trees under a soft rain in my head - it's one of those pieces of music that comment nature.

Song: Playgirl BGM Artist: Yoshihide Otomo Something: Cool jazz on speed, female moans, video game sound effects, and an overdubbed sax player who sounds eventually like he's trying to blow his liver out through the horn. Just madness. Never fails to put a smile on my face.
