When I was a nipper, I was a fan of The A-Team and I was excited when I discovered back then there was a cartoon starring Mr. T as himself. I remember it being shown on a Saturday morning in the UK and I sat in front of our big-ass chunky TV in my Spider-Man pyjamas anxiously waiting for what I could only imagine to be the best cartoon ever.........and it was glorious.
Ok, now I know it's not the best cartoon ever, I felt that way about everything when I was a kid. Well, except stuff like Care Bears and *whispers* My Little Pony.... It seemed as though in the 80s and 90s, everyone had an animated show. Either people (the aforementioned Mr. T) to shows based on R rated movies such as this-
My favourite cartoon of all time, though, is one also based on a more family friendly movie.....
Just noticed that they have changed the song from the original version of that episode. Where you hear the Ghostbusters theme during the train scene, it should have been this-

I don't blame you for thinking that. The current writers and animators make jabs at how bad it used to be every once in a while.
Well, to be fair, they were considered to be cartoons for girls in the 80s, MLP especially. Now the episodes are written to appeal to both sexes and use humour more. Back then, it wasn't really a case of it being bad (a lot of kids liked it) it was more a case of 'can't watch that, it's for girls'. That' s not the case now.

Lauren Faust (creator of the new show) was pretty disappointed in previous versions of the show. She wanted to make sure this version didn't have characters that had "endless tea parties, giggled over nothing and defeated villains by either sharing with them or crying".
And I don't think I've ever had that feeling. Mainly because of these badass little girls
