Douglas Trumbull seems to think it's easier to work with higher frame rates.

Production value that has been paid for is lost because of the deficiencies of the 24 frame method. Shooting it with higher frame rate has no adverse effects on the production cost. It may even be in some ways less expensive because rendering blur is an expensive digital process. CGI guy’s would rather render five sharp frames than one blurred frame because the blur is a pain in the neck.

Speaking as a roto bitch.

Fuck that guy.

Teague, if you don't have at least one of the red shirts die in this thing, I will very disappointed in you.

Jump to 5:40 for the Penn and Teller cups and balls trick, and Tellers fish bowl trick is right after.

I first saw this last year at a local Siggraph short film animation festival thing, and I'm still not quite sure what the hell to make of it. But I know we need more stuff like it.

Well you kinda can. It's called protocol. And I as far I remember government agencies believe pretty strongly in that sorta thing.

Depends on what you're using as reference. If you imagine a top down view of the car with the hood at the top. Teagues way is correct. However if you imagine that you are in the drivers or passengers seat looking over your shoulder, then you are correct.

See Teague, this is why I said you should make a map for people.

Because I think it's awesome.

So you can frankly get off your high horse about me wanting to share something I think is cool.

EDIT: And actually you know what, Mr Mamatas can go fuck himself over that particular quote. That is the way things work. I like something, so I tell my friends, and if they think it's cool, they tell their friends. I don't need you going and trying to make me feel like a moron or a blind sheeple for doing so. Would you rather everyone just sat here and kept everything they enjoyed to themselves?

I actually don't even remember him in IB, but then I don't really remember much IB. He was however one of the very reasons I made it all the way through First Class, and I haven't seen A Dangerous Method yet, but he looks pretty good in that too.

Oh hey look! A really badass piece of Prometheus viral marketing! Why don't we-...
