Since we're talking about stop-mo type things.

This was made by a friend of mine, not exactly stop-mo but It's still pretty cool. And I gotta pimp it out for him, so you know.

So really you should be posting about them in the "Bad movies I love" thread, not the "Movies everyone says are bad but I think are actually good and here's why" thread.

Called it.

Wow that was intense (I just finished the first part). I had always assumed that there had to be some form of polytheistic influence on early Christianity, for a lot of the same reasons he brought up, but I'd never heard it laid it out like that before.

I'm gonna have to find that book and have a read though.

I happened upon a liquor store today that happened to be selling this, and thought what the hell and bought a little 12 buck mickey of the stuff. So far I've only had 2 mouthfuls, but my gods you guys were right, this is easily one of the most delicious forms of alcohol I've ever tasted.

Just thought you all should know.

i used to watch it pretty much every week, not out of any great love, but more of professional boredom, and it never really got any better, but it never really got any worse either, it just sort of hovered around this weird middle grey area that usually just left me feeling awkward and unsure of how to react by the end of it.

@Zarban: There's a difference between using such things to heighten the experience of whats already happening, and using it as a crutch to tell your audience what they should be feeling....and yah yah I know, I too can list of a thousand exceptions, but I think the central concept is sound.

@Dorkman: Similar point, I think that a really good show can stand up without the laugh track,I still believe theres a difference between legitimately laughing at a funny moment and laughing because the studio audience is telling you it's a funny moment.

Yeah it's really amazing how horrible of a show it is without people telling you it's funny.

The Farce of The Penquins, despite the fact that it consists of what I consider to be the most base humour style imaginable and completely outside of anything I would consider watchable in any other context, I really love this movie. I have huuuuuge respect for who ever had to corral all the footage and edit it down, but damn it all if it doesn't tell a damn funny, entertaining story.

EDIT: On second thought, it's really not that hard to imagine why I enjoy this one when they have Sam Freakin Jackson playing the narrator.

I'm sure they built in overrides and auxileries systems for night, come on, it's not like we're talking about a 2000 year old civilization barely out of the stone age.
