I wish it was - but yeah no.  It was as a failed attempt online as another thing. Add the steam thing. It should be fun!

...eh, what?

If you're referring to GoldenEye online, it's an N64 Emulator that enables online play as emulated offline multiplayer. The player starting the game is player 1, controls the game and such, and you're all playing on the same screen.
It works just fine.

Goldeneye can't be played thru steam.

..Unless you count GoldenEye Source.

Well, you know, back in '98, we kinda had to.

Did the recording. Audio/Video separately recorded, matched, merged. You'll have a video with pretty good audio quality baked in. Let me know if you want a flatter audio.

File sent via WeTransfer just now.

Some sites notes it at 118bpm, but 120 seems pretty spot on, yeah.

Was gonna do some recording today, but it'll be hard when the kid's not in kindergarden.

Well, if the cast is a big one, then yeah, we'll definitely go live.

Well, then. I'm certainly in.

Bit of both wink

And calling it a eulogy is harsh, but yeah. I've got all week available, so it's really up to all of you to agree on a time.

Heads up: We'll be doing an episode to cover this place. As in, the reason why Extended Edition even exists. As such, I've already invited the lot (Teague, Brian, Michael and Trey), and I understand that getting Mike on... mic... ehm, will be impossible, but we'd gladly have the rest of you on to do one in the near future.

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your podcast and I realized that you're not actually a podcast. Every podcast on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you people do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. podcasts are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

I think it needs more transparency. Unless she's able to project solid matter from her wrist.

While we're on the subject, let's not forget how it all started:

Fig, in 2009 wrote:

Hey folks. Some of you might recall a show called Geekza that Chris Hanel and I started a couple years ago, which had evolved into an entirely different beast by as recently as a few months ago. We'd get together over a live Talkshoe audience and discuss various aspects of pop culture through the geek filter, and good times were had by all. Some of the Geekza episodes that people enjoyed the most were in the style of commentaries, where we'd pick a movie, sync up the MP3 with the DVD, and play forth, having a rousing conversation about the film in perfect sync with the film in question.

Well. Jones is dead. I killed him. Most of the regular listener types know this.

A while back, apropos of nothing, it seemed, we dropped a commentary track for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Another college try from a few bored folks looking to relive their glory days, perhaps? Their glory days of, you know, a couple months ago? cool Not quite.

Since Geekza's demise, we've been up to no good behind the scenes - snatching up snazzier equipment, planning a PR attack on the world, and our subsequent domination of it - with a brand new show devoted entirely to commentaries. Teague "Fig" Chrystie, Michael "Dorkman" Scott, Brian Finifter, and Trey Stokes - responsible for three of IGN's ten favorite fan films of all time - reviewing and discussing movies for your enjoyment, your sexual release, and your iPod.

Right now we're in what I call "beta," where we're only announcing the show on a very few sites, waiting to see if anyone finds a kink in the chain or anything like that. In a couple of weeks, we're going to do our best to get the world's attention, and we'll take all the help we can get, so if you enjoy the show, please swear your undying allegiance to us, because we can use you.

In the meantime, check out the site, subscribe in iTunes, and pop in a DVD - we have to apologize in advance, because we love to start these things off with a depressing bang. As such.

The Phantom Menace commentary is available now!

Fuck. Didn't see that coming. I was still trying to figure out how you guys were going to top the Malariathon.

I guess you're not. Which is fine, we'll always have that.

I'd say best of luck in the future and all that, but this isn't exactly a goodbye, is it? You're all still here, you're just not making podcast episodes anymore. You'll still be on the forums, so yeah.

I'm personally honoured to have been a part of this community for the last 6 years, to have my name dropped in the Thor Commentary, and to have Teague and Mike come hang out with the Extended Edition more than once.

Hats off, and do your bloody worst, guys!

In closing; the lot of you are more than welcome to hang out again. Hell, we'll take all of you on at the same time to discuss the last 6 years with you, even if it takes 1000 hours to do so. You're probably not as willing, but you're the friends in our head forever.

(that invitation is 100% real, by the way, but we'll take you on for like 60 minutes or so, no hassle.)

Yeah, about that.
I might have to NOT do them after all.
I have the footage, if anyone wants to have a whack at it, though. The main issue there, however, is that as the lighting wasn't too bad, and the resolution(4K) is there, the lens I shot it with was a piece of garbage. I might have to reshoot it AGAIN, but then it'll have to wait until next week when I actually have some time on my hands again, and a new 28mm lens to work with.

Here's The footage if anyone wants to take over from here, though. (1.8GB, 3840x2160, 24p)

I don't know for sure, but I reckon something has to do with the pure nature of them being all CG. They can perfect each single shot individually, as they don't exactly have to reshoot.

I call dibs on the Falcon cockpit! I'd totally grow a stache for that.

369

(41 replies, posted in Creations)

Well, I'd rather have a custom written one, as it allows for more characters, but then we'll have to worry about CG to make actually be a star wars thing, as we can't just use audio like Boter did.

370

(41 replies, posted in Creations)

I think the Battle of Endor could be better. It's bigger, and has more characters.

371

Lego IS the Star Wars equivalent of proof reading, yes.

...Maybe except for the Falcon, I guess.

The video portrays Y-Wings, but those aren't two-guys-to-a-fighter either. It's a creative choice.

Watched this on Monday. Have been planning to watch for awhile, due to Jared Leto playing it, as a tranny, but finally got around to it.

It's one of those 10/10 films, you know. Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto both won Oscars for best Male Actor and Best Male Supporting Actor. The film also won best make-up and hair, on a $2500 budget, so there's that, too.

Great, compelling story, brilliant performances all around, an interesting plot, and character arcs that were fuckin' perfect. I enjoyed the fuck out of this little film, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Also, in case you didn't know already, Jared Leto is confirmed to play The Joker in Suicide Squad, and is a brilliant character actor. He normally looks like this:

But is the kind of guy that doesn't mind going all out for a role, and took on this character some years back, without prosthetics, mind you:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/ac/Chapter_27movie.jpg/220px-Chapter_27movie.jpg

He also lost 30 pounds and stayed in character all the way for Dallas Buyer's Club, so he's not just that guy from "My So-Called Life", guys.

Fun fact:

Yeah, but you probably spoiled yourself on the story already, knowing you. Even that aside, it's a brilliant game. The sequel even more so, gameplay-wise, but the story is a bit lacking.
