My understanding is that, for MST3k, they'd have all the writers in a room watching through and making jokes on the fly, that would be written down on a timecode sheet. They'd repeat the process a couple times, and then pick the best joke for every five seconds or so.

We did this one the same way we did TRON, right? Watching/writing/rewatching?

Fun fact: it was after this I decided never to do a scripted commentary again, and it was this very recording that taught me just how much work MST3k really was. And those are funny, too. Just unbelievable.

They thought that a child would not want to read a book with the word "philosopher" in the title and, after some discussion, the American edition was published in October 1998 under the title Rowling suggested, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Rowling claimed that she regretted this change and would have fought it if she had been in a stronger position at the time.

Thanks man.

Also, sorry for how hot my mic is. Recently it's gotten tricker, trying to balance webcam-levels with Audacity-levels. It smooths out about fifteen minutes in.

For me, yes, apparently the archive is (recently) void of archival stuff, but the search does work. For instance, do a search for a cuss word or "why," and it does its normal thing. Alerted Holden.

This is correct. I might have something nifty to toss up as a supplement, though. (And we're releasing HP tomorrow, too.)

Holden Hill is a spectacular breakdancer. I saw him successfully navigate a dragon war with nothing more than a piece of spare cardboard and a ghetto blaster. When it came down to him and a single, inconsolable mother dragon standing together on the remains of a thousand devastated corpses, he did the most spectacular head spin ever witnessed and kicked the dragon in the eyes. The dragon unceremoniously slumped to the ground, and Holden wrote some code on its stupid fucking legs until he got bored and fucked it.

Pftthahahaha.

It would have been pretty ridiculous if I had hidden a link to the awful, dead on arrival Shawshank commentary in the post for Wanted.

A. No, we built the whole "live" portal manually to combine Tinychat and Justin.tv. B. What big problem?

Haven't gotten into Torchwood, didn't much enjoy the plots relating to Torchwood I've seen in Who.

Fun fact: Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who, and from what I understand it was the original fake name they put on the scripts so people didn't lose their shit if they stumbled across the set.
