I think we should contact the only man who can help us...

The force, clone armies, Jedi mind tricks, killer teddy bears. You think you know the whole story? Think again. I've been a governor, a Navy SEAL, a fighter, and in three movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I've seen things that'll blow you're mind. And now I think it's time you get the whole story.

I'm Jesse Ventura and this is Conspiracy Theory.

"This movie is about a kid who falls in with a terrorist organization and blows up a government building."

Trey blew my fucking mind with this tidbit.

I haven't seen anything from 2010: Moby Dick beyond the trailer but that hasn't prevented me from listening to the commentary. I'm fascinated with Asylum and many of their flicks have provided laughs for me over the past couple of years. It is quite cool that two guys on the DiF panel played prominent roles in the production of one of Asylum's glorious mockbusters. I was hoping you could provide insight on something.

What's the deal with Dean Kreyling?

http://i51.tinypic.com/104qes1.jpg

I have seen him in around six different Asylum movies and each time he entertains the crap out of me. His brief role as a submarine captain in Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus was the highlight of the movie for me and my friends. Why is he in so many of Asylum's movies? Is he a relative or a friend of someone high up in the studio or does he simply enjoy the cheesy humor so much that he keeps auditioning for everything they make? Also, is there any way to get in contact with him? I'd really like to send the guy a letter of appreciation because the man deserves to know how much entertainment he has provided with his fantastically hilarious side-characters.

What's the story behind Jerry Weintraub screwing Bruce Lee? Maybe it's because I'm tired but I can't recall this story at all and Google isn't giving me shit either.

No spoilers in this post either:

Saw it at a midnight showing. Nothing short of tremendous in regards to the effects. Everything I had hoped Avatar would be in terms of visual content, Tron: Legacy delivered a year later. The soundtrack is without question my favorite of any film this year. Words don't do Daft Punk's perfect score justice. You have to experience it for yourself. The story could have been a bit more cohesive but it's not bad by any means. The religious parables are plentiful and intriguing. The performances varied between decent and good and a certain someone's cameo had the entire theater shit bricks. I won't ruin it for you but keep an eye out during the board room scene. Also, Jeff Bridges basically plays The Dude trapped in cyberspace. If that last bit isn't enough to make you see this movie, then you need to reconsider life on this planet.

I just got done watching Predator again for the first time in a couple years. I had planned on playing some Red Dead Redemption while listening to DiF's commentary before heading to bed but I was shocked to discover you guys haven't done one for it yet. It's the most testosterone filled movie in the history of the cinema. You have got to do a commentary for this flick. Using the search, I can see I'm not the first guy to suggest you do it:

As your making you way through the Alien franchise, will you have a chance to do the Predator movies as well, eventually?

I'd second that vote.

I figured I would end the post here but I dug a little deeper with the search engine. This is what I found:

Top Gun is a maybe, haven't seen Predator but we have an excellent potential guest for that one. Contact absolutely. Haven't seen 13th Warrior, Riddick, or Crimson Tide. I think we're gonna get to Last Action Hero eventually; I was really disappointed in that movie and it's one of Trey's favorites.

On the subject of 1982 movie releases:

http://boxofficemojo.com/schedule/?view … amp;p=.htm

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial
Blade Runner
The Thing

Those four movies came out in the span of four weeks of one another, with Blade Runner and The Thing released on the same fucking weekend. It's not to outlandish to say that June of 1982 might have the been the best month in the history of cinema. And it's certainly not outlandish to say 1982 was the best year for movies ever. Along with the four aforementioned films, the following noteworthy (names that stand out to me) all came out that year too:

The Road Warrior
First Blood
Tron
Sophie's Choice
Gandhi
Pink Floyd: The Wall
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
48 Hours
The Dark Crystal
Conan the Barbarian
Airplane II: The Sequel
Poltergeist
The King of Comedy
Creepshow
Rocky III
Friday The 13th Part III
Tootsie
Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip
Porky's
Annie

On top of that, the following three films all received re-releases during the year:

Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Bambi
Star Wars

And in a bit of irony, My Favorite Year was also released in 1982.

A mockumentary about a director intentionally sabotaging a film production. Teague gets a special thanks credit for helping me out with the director's dialogue at the end.

The Fly II

You did the first film and you have a compulsion to finish an entire series once you get started with the original film. A lot of people don't even know this sequel exists and it while it's a largely forgettable film, two things stand out.

1. John Getz is the only returning actor from the first film and has some of the greatest puns of all-time.

2. It features the most heartbreaking scene I've ever witnessed.
