So Trey, is it true that you quit the show?  And by "The show" I mean Friends in Your Head.  I thought I heard this mentioned during the "Tokes and Stokes" Intermission...

got back from Sabotage a couple of hours ago.  Man, Arnie can actually ACT.  he shows good chops in this one.   Props to Sam Worthington too.  Terrance Howard's talent is wasted in this movie.  He's in like 3 or 4 scenes and very little speaking.  I couldn't understand why this was a waste until I found out who the writer is.  This guy and Lindeloff should be banned from Hollywood.  Along with McG.

have the younger members of the crew seen many Scorsese movies?

watching Spidey 2 and listening to the commentary again.  I know you guys had problems with the dialogue being too on the nose, but that is sorta a comic book thing.  Especially Spider-man comics.  A lot of times you'll have Spidey swinging through the city and Spidey is talking to himself or thinking to himself

I will say that these movies are my guilty pleasure movies.  I know they miss the mark, but it's Spider-man.

i think Rusty is just quietly conducting his own investigation into the Yellow King outside of the law.  The Yellow King might actually be somebody high up the chain that he has to take down through unorthodox means.

saw the movie.  jeez is there too much talking in this movie.  Way too much and not enough doing.  It's like emo robocop...

I'm looking for the American Hustle script.  Can't find it anywhere.  Usually, all the scripts up for Oscar consideration in a given year are put out for download during Oscar season.  I've found pretty much almost all of them, I really want to read the American Hustle script though...

this movie was about 40 minutes too long.  The film was pretty good for the most part, but I felt it was pretty repetitive in the first and second act in spots.

The characters are iconic Scorsese.  Very reminiscent of Goodfellas and Casino.

There's one scene that seems almost like Jonah Hill wrote it...  and I mean that in a bad way...

this movie was pretty standard.  Nothing really happens that made me care about the characters until the third act.

The fight itself is nothing to write home about either.

Speaking of Alexander, I never understood why he decided to tell the story he told in that movie.  I thought that should have been a very focused "becoming" story.

The only good thing about that movie is Rosario Dawson.

yeah, I'm with you on Noah fireproof.  That movie doesn't look interesting to me.  But I thought that that was the only biblical adaptation out in 2014...?

I concur with Dorkman, I would add more realistic CG camera moves.  The stuff they do nowadays is physically impossible in some regards.

I'm surprised by the reaction to Elysium.  I saw it for the first time this weekend.  Seemed pretty watchable to me.  Despicable Me 2 was pretty good too.  As far as my top five, I'm gonna wait til I see the films that get released Christmas Day.  I've already seen the Hobbit 2 and fell asleep at the beginning because it was so boring...  I'd really love to get a WAYDM commentary of Elysium once the potter flicks are done.

so I played forward a bit in the movie and the part that it's supposed to sync up with is about 3 minutes later.  It's when Lindsey is developing film and Bud takes the black curtain off the port hole.  The Garfield Suction toy is right there.

yeah, I know I have the special edition because I saw the Nietzsche quote before the title card.  It happens for me when Jammer first sees the NTI.  The commentary goes from that scene to  "Garfield Joke"...

I don't know if this was already discussed or not, but did you guys have some audio problems during this episode?  there seem to be large swaths of the film that are out of sync for me if I just go off the initial pause/unpause point...

I stand by my statement that Spork closely resembles Rooney Mara...

And Woody's expression in that picture mirrors my own at the thought of only potter for two whole months...

listening to Prometheus.  I think you guys need to christian a new term.  "Pot holes in the Road" or "bring your Own Concrete".  The explanation should be Ryan's analogy.  Such a good analogy... big_smile
