Fuck, Otero came out swinging, that's awesome. Um.

Okay, I won't be obvious and mention Reservoir Dogs.

1. Bowling for Columbine, Louis Armstrong, What a Wonderful World.
2. Ferris Bueller's Day Off, John Williams, Star Wars Fanfare.
3. Watchmen, Leonard Cohen, Hallelujah.
4. The Replacements, Gloria Gaynor, I Will Survive.
5. High Fidelity, Katrina and the Waves, Walkin' on Sunshine.

(And no, I didn't have to look that up, I know band names like I know your mother like I know how to please your mother like I know limited success in various venues.)

Top five photographs.

Did we do Constantine and 300 on the same day?

I don't think we did.

Now I'm trying to remember what movie we did with 300. I think the other one we did with Constantine was Sunshine.

Jeff asked about clean jokes, and I don't know any. So.

Top five track threes, CD, tape or vinyl.

It has recently come to my attention that folks listen to episodes multiple times.

This makes me curious.

Do you have a favorite? Why?

Didn't care for Punch Drunk Love.

Why does Independence Day work?

@Zarban

1. Never seen Schindler's.
2. There Will Be Blood is pretty much what you expect. Sort of compelling, very long, pretty, and worth is for Daniel Day Lewis' vocal affectation.
3. One Flew is actually pretty fucked up. Goes to the mansion a couple times, but comes back. Ultimately a good movie.
4. I lived in Arkansas. Don't talk to me.
5. Clerks is tiring; to me, it's like Annie Hall. You can legitimately say you've seen the whole thing after watching half an hour.
6. Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer are awesome, Big Daddy and Billy Madison are fun for their character performances, The Waterboy and Eight Crazy Nights are kind of retarded. The rest are the rest.

I'm trying to convince Cloe (who you'll soon know from the Pan's Labyrinth commentary) to register and answer your questions. I've never seen it myself, but you worry me, because I agree on all of the things you feel like you should like about the movie.

Branco has had a bad experience with Famke that I have yet to suss out.

Yep. Of course, that set up with two consecutive "goodnights" works grammatically and mine doesn't. But it's a thing.

Agree with Maul entirely.

Fucking awesome, the battle droid bit caught my attention. Nicely done.

We had a lot of fun doing this; for those who weren't there, we actually had a live webcam and chat room set up for listeners. I believe the people enjoyed themselves.

...yeah, this episode could be called a commentary, but just barely. If we're the friends in your head, this is us inviting you to a crazy party instead of having a normal conversation.

A brief clip of the proceedings.

We got free mimosas at the diner after the show. High rollers. What up.

And one last little thing, this is from when we sat down to watch The Core again and refresh our memories. Brian going full Tucci.

I think people who say "Avatar appeals to the morons" aren't giving the referenced morons enough credit. It would have done as well if it had executed itself just a hair more intelligently.

Well, I'm just thinking maybe if enough DIF listeners were going, we could arrange a dinner or something.

Meh. Cloe is really into some anime, her best friend is way into it. I've never quite gotten the appeal. I think I'd like the scripts more.
