Yeah, I was just thinking about him myself.
Almost done a sting thing for 'title to come'
Cool. DIF until I die though, LOLZ.
Zarban wrote:I posted way back when S2 started why I hated S1. Mostly the never-ending assholery of characters even when they wanted or needed something from the person they were talking to. Also: random betrayals. There's a reason why, in real life, people made and fulfilled feudal ties: they are good for business.
I'm guessing the simplification they had to do from the books to the TV show leads to this randomness. The characters still do what they have to do, but we haven't spent 50 pages understanding why they would do it.
Personally, I used to like the show a lot despite the boob time and other money-driven nonsense... and then I got progressively bored with it. The production value is enormous, the acting is just fine... but the directing is dull. When you've read the books, and thus lose the cliffhangery nature of almost everything's that's happening, not much is left. Most of the important spoilery scenes left me with "Oh, ok well that happened". This show just doesn't even try to keep me on the edge of my seat. It goes from one scene to another without much feeling.
I realize also that the universe they built in the show itself has this dullness. The books are gritty, but feel way more fantastical in nature. I really want to hear about old Valyria and the Targaryen lineage from the novels. The TV show version would be like reading about Charlemagne in some history book. Informative, but not very magical.
I'll probably keep watching it, if only for the fact that it looks gorgeous most of the time. That, and characters such as Tyrion I really like to see on screen. Since the show is gradually deviating from the books, it might spark some new interest, but I'd really appreciate it if they actually tried to convince me that what's happening is incredible.
I already had my back up about the show - everyone telling me to watch it... I'll watch it in time, was my thoughts. I would have a more, I think, better attachment to it if had I read the books. Boob time and terrible accents just pushed me further off. I was not ready for my mind to be changed. In that respect, I apologize.
This was mainly a dumb conversation were I stated my dislike, for GoTs'. It isn't for me. (though - Sean Bean... last episode of Season 1 -...peaked my interest). My have been happy cutting the first season - but yeah I would know anyone of them if they did that
Nothing can be worse than Youtubes solution. Wow, I can not be arsed to figure out that junk
Yeah - why are we even bothering. Teague - you oaf. Why do I have to go into the attic for a cello.
FLV even at it's Highest bitrate isn't too bad for uploading. Depending on the length. I'm planning on just spamming Teague's Gmail with unlisted youtube links closer to the dead line.

I get you don't get it, I gave you all of my reasons why I like it, and you shrugged them off.
If you ask for help and then don't listen and act like a dick "'cos you can", you're just defeating your own purpose.
Not too mention it makes you look like a massive asshole, and further drives me into never wanting to reply to anything you say ever again.
That's a bit much - this was meant to be a stupid debate.
Yeah, don't get me wrong - I love the forum just he way it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io1WpKXQ__4
BDA - I was just being silly for the sake of being silly. I meant no harm. Devils advocate style. But at this point, I don't like the show. It's just not for me.
I am very aware that I'm being a doofus.
It's all good. Just provoking a debate.
I am not willing to listen. I think 25 hours is enough to form an opinion.
Mainly just testing the water - see what people see in it that I don't.
Sorry. I'm just being a dick 'cos I can. That show really grinds my gears. On paper, sounds amazing. Just isn't.
If that's honestly all you think is there I can't help you.
Personally I find it a really interesting political drama in a dark high fantasy setting, with interesting characters and amazing visuals. The production values are through the roof, the acting is always top notch and the writing isn't afraid to go places most other shows wouldn't.
And I thought Teague was the drugged-up-deluded one. Please say that that was ironical and I'm just not getting it.
Each to there own. Mainly, I blame Spork - forcing me to watch it. Forced love is no love at all.
I can't say I'm that great of a TV watcher in the first place. So, doing the waiting for the next episode thing, I lose interest and pretty much don't care that much to catch back up.
Yeah, I agree with BDA. My only gripes, and it is very much a me being lazy thing, missing the point of the conversation entirely. Simply, I'm too lackadaisical to scroll back and catch up to the conversation to give an appropriate or informed message on the topic at hand.
I am very much a reddit poster in that respect.
I like tits. I like terrible Dialog. I like over-acting actors.
DO

I let slide the unnecessary nudity and vulgarity - the show had to grab peoples attention somehow - I just think it's a piss poor show. It seems to be made for pre-pubescent teens. There is nothing about it that doesn't make think that this is an adult show and I should give it credence.
I want it to be good. It just isn't. I really don't understand how people are so interested in it. Like REALLY interested in it. I know I've got an unpopular opinion on this subject, I'll be happy if someone can correct me. I WANT TO LIKE IT> I just don't.
This much is true.
Can people stop beating them selves off when GoT's is mentioned. I require this.

Seconded. But then I blame myself for being a poor forum member and not actually trying to keep track of things.
+Reddit has stolen far too many hours of my life.
Facebook, I think?!
Can I be person 2? But, yeah. I totally agree. The forum format is a bit hard to follow at times. Especially joining a thread late that has multiple pages. It's easy to get a bit lost and/or miss something.
Do they have to be good tattoo's?
I've had these 'Left' and 'Right' tatts on my ankles for nearly 20 years
I love you Teague, that's awesome.
If I can figure out a setup that records it well, I might break out the Didgeridoo. Hmmm.
Try try try!
Snapping my paint brushes and never painting again
I'm not even gonna post until the last second - Cello might be a thing
