I've not yet seen many of the films from 2012 that I'd like to, but have enjoyed:

The Avengers, because they pulled it off.
Skyfall, because I like Bond and appreciated the fan service.

Exhaustive? Hardly. But it's been a busy year, so cut me some slack, a'ight?

My goodness Mr. Whiskers! We're a pack of cat-fanciers!

I asked her about this.

She replied with "I deleted it and moved on. Realized my mistake, Would be wonderful if you could too. Thanks."

Maybe she's reassessed her attitude?

Inglorious Bastards was hilarious.

I'm not a fan of Harvey Keitel.

As someone who has logged many, many hours in Storm Trooper Armor doing stunts, let me tell you that that posture he's in in this photo is physically impossible.

Yeah, as if you could beat up an alien wearing that.

He doesn't want to be Ridley Scott.

I liked Death Proof more than Planet Terror.

I've been stuck for a while with Olympic lifts; gains in cleans, snatch, squats are really slow to earn and fast to lose.

The CF stuff is great and I can see and feel the gains through my core and met con; in terms of training pure work capacity I don't know if there's anything better. I want to see if replacing a CF workout with pure strength focus is going to help target the weaknesses (hamstrings, glutes, upper back), which will help with the Oly lifting.

I should point out power lifting isn't really an aim, or strength. My biomechanics are better suited to Olympic lifting - happiest with weight overhead.

On the subject of buff Mike, I'm looking at starting focused weigh training one day a week to supplement the Crossfit. Suggested resources to plan activity?

I know Mike has lost half a Mike; I was using his progress on Fitocracy as motivation to go heavier. tongue

Alright you lazy bludgers! Enough excuses; hands off cocks, feet in socks! If I can drag my heaving carcass back to Crossfit after a few months of European indulgence, you can bloody well get some back squats in a couple of times a week.

Brian, Mike, Jim, I'm looking at you buggers!

If I know cats, that soft toy's about to be disemboweled. The back legs came up and an ear went back.

Nope.  Mind you I loved the film, but there's some historical bending to be had.  Not that it's a bad thing, but to call it historically perfect is not accurate.

True. I believe Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter delivers a more accurate portrayal of his life and times.

Due to conditioning, I fully expect Iron Man to make an appearance in this film.

I have no idea what's going on here.

Star Trek 2 has a confusing fucking trailer.

Who's the guy with no eyebrows, and why is Star Trek also a kung fu film?

Same here - they must know Australia is merely a glorified prison.

She's also an atheist, unmarried, decided to not have kids, and her partner (known as the first bloke) is a hairdresser.

One of my favourite authors happens to be Scottish - Iain M. Banks.

If expansive space-opera is your thing, begin the Culture series with Consider Phlebas.
He also writes fucked up fiction as Iain Banks. Start with The Wasp Factory.

I also love the fuck out if pretty much everything Kurt Vonnegut ever wrote.

Based on these reviews, my first experience with the hobbit may very well be via the AppleTV.

Maybe it's a cultural thing, but this isn't funny to me. I don't get the Will Ferrell thing, either.

We have a yearly comedy festival if you want to see a bit of it?

Greg. I said it once before, then removed it because it's rude. But it needs to be said.

Fuck off.

You're just picking fights, you don't understand how a discussion works, fuck off.
