Coming from PAL-land, I usually just pause every now and then so I can keep sort of in sync. I wouldn't mind seeing more 'PAL conversions' though.
I watched The Hurt Locker blu-ray with DIF commentary today though and it synced up perfectly, considering the format allows for 24p. Maybe it'd be a good idea to have a little note in the description on what format you guys watched the movie on?
I watched The Hurt Locker for the first time today and followed it up listening to the DIF commentary and a lot of the things you guys said towards the end really hit the nail on the head for me, in terms of how you feel about the movie when comparing it to other Best Picture winners. I think the idea of how your opinion on a movie can change (due to hype, acclaim, etc) could make for a good Intermission episode.

Hmmm....

I've never really seen the appeal of dubstep apart from when it comes to Youtube parodies & remixes.
Me and some friends just watched Birdemic. We were expecting a good laugh, like The Room, but it was just baaaaaad!
I'd vote for the Director's Cut of Close Encounters myself.
You may be a doctor, but I'm the Doctor. The definite article, you might say.
*gives switch some karma*
A wave for a title thingy...why not?

We have a secret cinema at my university, but it's nowhere near as cool as that.
If you've not seen 'Tommy Explains It All', then check it out!
The Room is one of my favourite films for all the wrong reasons.
I'm a bit unsure of my plan at the minute. Ideally, I'd love to move to L.A. at some point to start working there, but the chances of me being able to are slim...damn immigration! Whilst I'm at university though, I do have the chance to work in the US over the summer, so hopefully I'll be able to do that for the next three years and hopefully make the process easier.
And the winner for best newcomer is...

...alexishere!
Apocalypse, NO!
A feature length outing for Harry Enfield's 'The Self Righteous Brothers' in which the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse descend upon London.
(Their catchphrase is, 'Oi! ______, NO!')
1. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
2. Super 8
3. The Wizard of Oz
4. Citizen Kane
5. Batman Returns
6. The Dark Knight
The only Crichton books I've read are Jurassic Park and The Lost World. I absolutely adore Jurassic Park, it's one of my favourite books - but I was never able to get into The Lost World anywhere near as much.
An episode on video game adaptations could be a good idea; why they tend to fail and what you would have to do to make them work. You could pick a particular game or series of games and workshop how to make it work as a movie (my suggestion being, The Legend of Zelda series).
Awesome, I'll check those places out. Thanks!

Sounds awesome to me! If anything, I think this would make DIF more accessible to newcomers.
Mainly editing in FCP and Premiere Pro and also some After Effects. But I have experience, albeit non-professional, in a range of other fields. Doing something in an edit facility would be ideal, but I'd be happy enough just grabbing coffees if I'm being honest.
I've just found out that I'd be able to get a visa that would allow me to work in the US over the summer. I was just wondering if any of you guys know some good places for me to start looking for some entry-level industry work that would be willing to take on somebody from overseas?
*bows down*
I thought I'd make a DLR fan page on Facebook.
Like.
EDIT: Major nostalgiagasm from those bloopers, thanks a lot!
