That was great fun, except for Fixed Dave, who is now my mortal enemy forever for dissing my hilarious VISIT SCENIC X jokes.

Oh, those were jokes? Gosh I'm sorry, you should have said.

Having slept, I'd like to echo Zarban's comments; it would have been impressive to simply attempt this marathon, let alone succeed. Congratulations again everyone, and to the impending "Cooking with Eddie" spin off.

If this falls on a day I can attend, count me in (in Los Angeles time that would be a Friday, from Noon onwards until Saturday evening).

Guys, thank you for putting in the hard yards on this, that was pretty incredible to experience first hand.

While I remember, did you get enough donations to cover the mic hire etc? My head is all fuzzy, time for dinner.

Sorry, what?

As a doctor*, I'm proscribing you regular tonics of the restorative, Gin.

Save all this for tomorrow guys, you're shooting your load way too early. There's nine fucking hours of this.

Throwing up is normal when beginning intense excercise, Crossfit used to have a t-shirt sporting the mascot "pukey". Eat about an hour before so you have fuel, work hard, puke if you need to. It passes.

How would Thor get orphans to do their math homework?

You're right, Hawkeye's arrow of math tutor is much more visually exciting. It sound like the Avengers P&P RPG is going to be awesome, sadly the rest of us are stuck watching a film.

Exactly. And he has arrows that throw nets, short out electrical circuits, create anchor points for drop lines or climbing a wall, vibrate stuff to pieces, spread sleep gas—you name it. It's Batman's utility belt in convenient projectile form.

Wow compared to a magical smashing hammer of the gods with infinite power, a bow and arrow is really useful!

For supplements, it's not a bad idea to skulk around body building forums to see what protein manufacturers the kids recommend. Keep in mind that by and large, body builders are nut-jobs who tend to ruin themselves with chemicals, so stick to protein and steer clear of T and anything that messes with hormone balance, unless that's the path you want to go down.

That said I did get a good line on a local producer who makes decent product, and I'm sure there are stacks of similar companies in the states. It's a really good idea to talk to a nutritionist as you start exercising more regularly; diet is just as big a part of the story as the exercises, and adequate sleep is critical.

It's kind of fun. I trained on Friday before going to a festival, but made sure I came home first expressly to upload my workout. The gentle competition is a positive thing, it really helps to keep you ticking along.
