I'm sure that by hour 6 of 9 the commentary is going to devolve into grunts and crying.
Syno-what?
After my rather abortive earlier attempt I thought it safest to go with a scene from the film.
The butterfly effect
Hazel followed the Black Rabbit.
That may be true, but I'd rather see an actual response to it rather than something like this. As an interested bystander, it's becoming increasingly difficult to wade through the responses to find what's old, wrong, or overblown, and what are actually legitimate concerns.
As an interested bystander I find this response puzzling. Reading through this thread and the linked blogs gives a clear picture of why FCPx fails as a product for the professional market.
I pictured the off-topic series to be a little more free form and niche, with the DiF galaxy recording topics that they're personally interested in (for example puppetry, nunsploitation, or cakes).
Buss Yours Truly to Death
Kiss of death?
I like this idea, and Eddie I'd love to hear more about MMA fight prep and diet. I started Crossfit a few months back and am looking at learning to fight a little (so I've got something to do with the increasing fitness).
Like this?
Similar to Blade Runner in that respect.
Correction, you *need* to watch Blade Runner. Then you watch it again.
Workstations are used for more than just editing, Mac Pros won't be going anywhere *pats Maya*.
Um, ok, anyone found the "Add / Invite Friends" button for Steam? Feeling a bit dim here. FixedR6, how'd you invite me?
FixedR6 on Steam. Total noob.
You people and your ovum. Vile.
Oh, that wasn't a riddle. It was a quote. I guess we're at an impasse. I can't compete with you physically. And you're no match for my brains.
You're that smart?
Sharing things I think you might like.
Patrick Wolf. Hard times.
These New Puritans. Attack music.
Einstürzende Neubauten. Sabrina.
Prick. Animal.
Have A Nice Life. Bloodhail.
People really hate going to parties with us, right?
Do you, err, Krieg?
Do you, err, Einstürzende Neubauten?
One critical aspect of the film which the commentary doesn't touch on was the soundtrack. This was at the height of the Industrial metal scene; The Downward Spiral had just been released, Marilyn Manson was new and shiny, and Tricky was really starting to fuck with our heads. A lot of the stylistic choices and themes felt like they'd been influenced by the music of the period.
Also, this film really felt like the precursor to Cameron's Dark Angel series in 2000.
Twilight, probably. And I'd totally abandon the plot, taking only the simplest elements in order to craft a new story with better characters.
Twilight would be a far better film if it revolved around Ashley Greene's character and how few clothes Vampires really need to wear.
*nose bleed*
I thought the wading would give away the water theme, bristling behemoth for battleship.
You've got Potemkin Villages and the film itself for the propaganda ... maybe I'm not very good at this
Over to you Zarban!
The Erroneous Receive a Quality Resting Period
Is this the Bad Sleep Well? Are we allowed to play with 1960's Japanese films?
If I win: wading bristling behemoth of propaganda
