Loving these commentaries so far. So happy I was able to experience a little of them. I did have a 3 hour drive to make after they concluded, so no staying up through all of them for me or Morgan :-/

These are my listen on my drive to and from work every day. And they're blasted fantastic.

Happy to see that photography can be included in here. I honestly cannot remember if I made one of these threads before, but in the past 6 to 7 months, I've moved from Connecticut down to Orlando as my girlfriend got an awesome job working for Disney. I've been able to step up my photography game recently. Most of it is Disney based, but occasionally I branch out as well. I'll post one image for now, and then I'll add more if there is good reaction. I am selling prints, but my SmugMug page needs a major overhaul, and I can't code worth a penny, so I'm looking to hire a friend.

This is a picture I took during the December 30th test-shoot of Walt Disney World's Fantasy in the Sky fireworks show over the Magic Kingdom. This show happens twice a year, once as a test, and once for New Year's Eve. This was taken from the beach of the Polynesian Resort, which is why iconic Cinderella Castle is very, very small.

Amazing. If this gets done again, I want in.

PS: <3 EPCOT. Maybe I'll go on Friday if I get out of the car dealership sometime before midnight.

Really happy to see this back with a new name. I've been missing my weekly (well, mostly) podcasts keeping me entertained in the car. You guys have been rocking it, and I think I'll take this opportunity to say thank you to all the folks converting who knows what into what knows who... all sorts of stuff that I have no idea about.

Wait, doctorsubmarine is from Farmington?  Holy carp, dude, I'm Cheshire.  Wicked cool!

As another aside, congrats to all, and thanks for the entertainment.  Kitchencam was amazing.  I just hope I could provide a little fun and relief and sugar rush to all you folk.  Can't wait to hear what I missed in the digital downloads!

Here's a question to ponder:

1) Which character was most defined by their actor?
2) Which actor was most defined by their character?

I sent a gift to the cast and crew to Teague.  I'll be listening in until I have to leave for my Mom's birthday dinner (which is Summer Shack, so, totally worth it).

Hopefully I'll have something of substance to say during the commentary...

Fun fact? This episode of Down in Front is sponsored by Five Hour Energy and Redbull.

Dredging this back from the dead to show off this.  I'm quite proud.

Alright.  Next day off, I'll get started.  I need a big pot... this gathering is gonna be bigger than anticipated.  Looks like a double batch.  Holy balls, I'm going to need a LOT of sugar...

You still want the care package for your March 10th bash?

Apologies if I butcher any spelling but I'm posting from my phone because my computer ate another HD. My short list of movies I'd like to see done repeat a couple already said, and add in more. This would be so much easier had my DVD collection NOT gone up in flames when my house burned to the ground.

Top Gun
Dazed and Confused
The Sting
Blazing Saddles
Sean Connery era James Bond
Pierce Brosman era James Bond
The rest of the Pirates movies
Bullitt
Gone in 60 Seconds (the remake)
Captain America
The Lion King
Saving Private Ryan
Toro, Toro, Toro
National Treasure
National Treasure: The Book of Secrets
Sherlock Holmes
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Protector (Tony Jaa version)
Ong Bak 2
Twister
Moneyball
Stardust

Also, I've talked it over with Teague, and I will be sending a late holiday early anniversary care package for the group in time for this shindig. If someone official at DiF headquarters can PM me a list of attendees, I'd appreciate it. I'd hate not to make enough for everybody to enjoy.

Dude, if you guys end up doing a 2015 documentary thinger for Back to the Future, you must (there are laws that say so!) do it driving around Cali in a DeLorean.

Also, if you knew where to look, you can find a DMC12 (DeLorean is the company, DMC12 is the model) with a 140mph speedo:

In addition to just loving cars, I did some research on the DMC12 in particular for when I was building this:

And to give you an idea of scale, you can see the Flux Capacitor near a quarter.  Please note the attempt at a "shield eyes" red tape on the glass:

One of my favorite models I ever built.  More pictures, I have them.

Fantastic commentary.  Really enjoyed listening to it.  Tons of insight, and I hope you are right about Indy 5! I would love to see them doing Atlantis.

Also, nice spot, John!

Frankly, for those complaining about no video, I did mine based solely on the actor or director given and the year.  I didn't create the test, I just thought it would be a fun distraction for movie-minded people.

Okay, I just did it, as an "I'm an idiot" baseline.  I registered 24/117 movies.  I only will count 23, though, because it gave me a movie I didn't know exist when I was typing out the name of one I did guess correctly.

I gave up with less than 5 minutes remaining.  Gook luck to the rest of you.  I cannot wait to see your numbers shame mine.

As some people here might know, I'm a bit of a Walt Disney World nerd.  One of the people I follow on Twitter (@TGreatMovieRide) just posted a question asking how many of the movies featured in the finale you could name.  It's a 20 minute quiz.  I thought that here, in a movie forum, it might just be a bunch of fun.  I think I got some of them, but I don't have the confidence to attack the whole test:

Give it a shot! No cheating!

I kinda like the sound of John McClane and the Pithy One-Liners.  Jeremy Clarkson and the Ambitious Rubbish?

I could certainly see a roller coaster or two develop out of the ride.  I was thinking a Soarin' style sim for the Banshees, but I think you're more on with a coaster.

The photographer in me would go "squeeeeeeeeeee! (Goblin, Nabob)" to see the "land" at night. With a couple of ND filters and a tripod, the long-exposure night shots you could pull off would be breathtaking.   I think with Jim's attention to detail, and the Imagineer's magicness and the technology they have access to and will create, we could have a really cool thing developing on our hands.

I'm waiting for Trey to chime in.  Wasn't it he who said he wanted to see the seas and more of Pandora?  This seems to be the answer to your wishes smile

It was just announced that Jim Cameron is teaming up with the Disney Imagineers to bring the world of Avatar to life. Seems that Pandora will be the newest expansion "land" at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Florida.

So ladies and gentlemen, is this a good move? You said you wanted to experience more of Pandora than just the forests. Does this excite you? Is this a good move for Jim and the Avatar franchise? And let's put on our Imagineer hats and come up with some awesome ride concepts for this new theme park. See if we can outdo Disney when it opens in 2013.

Discuss.

I will be at Disney and Universal in a month.  I might have to try this with some better known landmarks.  Something tells me Spaceship Earth and such would look WICKED.

Anything on what's going on this weekend?  I finally have a Saturday off from work and want, want, want to get back in the chatrooms again!

Preferably on a movie I've seen, but hey, I'm not picky.  I still says you blokes need to do Top Gun.

Good thing that's gonna be a t-shirt (if anything) and not a bumper sticker.  Trey and John would be the cause of millions of auto accidents per year, otherwise.

Did the viewing when this was recording.  Started relistening to it tonight and Trey darn near killed me.  If you're driving, listen to the beginning BEFORE you hit the road.  By the time Trey gets to "banana" I was laughing so hard I could barely drive.
