Serial style Star Wars poster based on custom figures by Sillof. For those unfamiliar with his work, he does custom figure sculpts, many Star Wars inspired, based upon different themes, such as steampunk, cyberpunk, WW2, and others. Someone created a poster based on his sculpts for a 50s serial version of "Star Wars." Check it out: http://www.sillof.com/index.htm

I like Rose better than Martha Jones and her unrequited love story with the Doctor.
Also, Rose did look in to the Time Vortex and became the Bad Wolf. Probably one of my favorite parts in first season

I haven't paid a bit of attention to this movie so far, and just now happened to read a two-sentence description of the ending.

If that description was accurate... yeeikes.  Promethean indeed.

I can't wait for this movie...just to find out what Trey is talking about

Good fun hanging out, gang. Sorry I wasn't prepared to record.

I didn't like the idea of Google HangOut at first, but actually it's pretty cool. It's too bad that the iPad client doesn't support chat, but that's my fault for not bringing my Edirol recorder and also for being at work where I couldn't really participate anyway. I should have given everyone a tour of my office. It's exactly like on Mad Men.

Minus the babes.

I liked the brief tour we had Zarban. My whole opinion of you completely changed smile

Also, I had a blast. Sorry I had my daughters coming in an out and I hope it didn't ruin the audio too badly sad

My wife wants to start some vocal recording as well, so pay day means mic day big_smile

I had a blast, everyone was super cool and fun to chat with. Just had an absolutely amazing time and hope we can iron out all the bugs with Hangout and getting more people involved. Dave, sorry the chat was super laggy, man.

Teague, I wasn't aware Hangout needed extensions, at least I don't think I use any in Firefox. Don't know if another browser might help you.

Owen, you did great. Don't doubt yourself, man smile

Thanks to Faldor for archiving and editing all our audio, and really spearheading the discussion.

Until next time big_smile

Hey, at least we'll have our own peanut gallery. How many shows can say that?

There is also a text based chat through Google hangout too smile

Edit: Never mind.
Google Hangout has a text chat too in case people don't have mic or video set up

I'm just not happy with the way Smith and Moffat are running things. Never quite have been.

BDA: you won't get this one. Series 7 is from 1-13, not 6-13 smile

Doc: I just don't like his goofy, sometimes too stupid Doctor. I'll agree he does a stellar performance, but the character doesn't do it for me with him behind it.

Also, Doctor Who is a show about change - It's time to change the Doctor.

I haven't really weighed in here, since haven't been able to get in to Smith as much as Eccelston or Tennant, but despite my desire for a happy ending, DW is one of the few times that I enjoy the darker tone. So, having Eccelston being more serious and Tennant becoming more serious worked for me.

Besides, we've already established that Tom is crazy but harmless wink

Does everyone have audacity or alike and a pair of headphones ?

I can get Audacity (died with the last computer) and have head phones. Working on a mic set up but not as stressed about it.

So, 5 pm EST, which is 2 PST, do I have that right?

And what is the topic du Jour? Doctor Who? I'll pass for a semi informed fan, who is not has familiar with 11th doctor as 9th and 10th.

Do I qualify?  cool

Back to topic (maybe...)
My friends and I have always been fascinated by Mars, and actually created "The Olympus Project" back in eighth grade, when we were professional astronauts wink

I think part of Mars is just the appeal, the challenge of doing it, despite the obstacles. Personally, I wouldn't go, but the idea of humanity going out in to space and exploring.

I have recently started researching Mars due to my science fiction writing. Its nice, regardless of if the OP is a reality TV show, or an actual project but it fascinates me nonetheless.

But...but...what will I do with my time now?

One more trailer, which really brings the theme of the movie forward. I like the fact that much of the challenges presented to Kirk, how he has to really earn his command, which was a common complaint from the first of Abrams movie. I, for one, am excited to see them explore Kirk earning to keep his command, as well as the continued role of Pike as his mentor.

Can't use "Nuking the Fridge" as it is already a band, a con and a TV Tropes page

But, "PreNuking Fridge" is from The Phantom Menace commentary so I thought it was a nice call back smile

I've been pricing out mic set ups and should be able to get one by Wednesday and test it out. I'm usually available all day on Wednesday, except between 11-12.

As for Google Hangout, it works through Google+ and you can set up a video/audio chat for Google+ contacts. I think you can set it up then link to it and people can then sign in to it. Teague did that for his music discussion chat. So, I did google.com/hangout and you can start a hang out there. So, whoever hosts it can start it there, then post the link here in the thread, like this:

I always liked the fact that he was not on screen very much but still enjoyed the fans and appearances.
