The Gallaghers are a highly dysfunctional working class family headed by an alcoholic father but it is the oldest daughter who has to keep things together.
James McAvoy was one of the original cast members of Shameless UK.
The Lone Ranger was two good action scenes book-ending one boring hour of shite.
I still like it but in my defense, I had just watched The Lone Ranger and Jack The Giant Slayer in the same day, so....
I like Elysium. I was watching it thinking 'people think this is bad?' It's not fantastic or anything but I had fun with it.
I am very confused right now.
Shaun of the Dead was actually Edgar Wright's second feature length movie. His first, A Fistful Of Fingers is rubbish by most accounts. ( it was released theatrically briefly in the UK and reviewed in magazines and TV shows at the time so it counts). *runs away*
Catching up with this thread, one thing is clear- I don't think I'll ever understand the love The World's End has been getting. This has puzzled me all year
I am still working on my definite top 5 of 2013.
They are a while away yet, so who knows?

Again?
Yeah but before he was anyone
I think I am the only one who watches Arrow (though it's DC, so maybe Owen does, I dunno). Sherlock is a possibility once I catch up on the entire series.
We'll do commentaries one day, we're just not quite there yet
Me too, I missed the recording but forum member Rob makes his EE debut on them. It's one ep split into two, I believe
Jimbo-I have no idea. We do like to encourage guests to come up with some and if we can, if we know anything about the subject, we may do it. We are on a break till January at the moment so there is time to think of one.
Doc Sub- We have those episodes (best/worst) recorded already, sorry
Any particular episode? Do you have an idea for one we could do?
In the EE podcast I recommended The Ref starring Denis Leary, it's a dark comedy about a burglar taking a family hostage at Christmas. Kevin Spacey plays the dad of the (very dysfunctional) family
Lethal Weapon 2 doesn't but Die Hard 2 does
I listed my favourites in the EE podcast Owen mentioned above but I thought I'd mention some I didn't get the chance to that I loved as a kid-
The Real Ghostbusters- Xmas Marks The Spot
One of my all-time favourite cartoons and this Christmas-based episode is a fun little twit on a well-known Christmas story.
A Pink Christmas
I love the old Pink Panther cartoons and this is one of my favourites. I won't say too much about the story but I like that it isn't all 'life is wonderful, everyone is happy'.
The Christmas Raccoons
Everyone here knows I love 80s cartoons and one of my all-time favourites is The Raccoons. This is the very first special that started it all.
He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special
Now, let me defend this choice.....it is absolute shit but I have added it here more as a curiosity than an actual recommendation. Regarded as one of the worst Christmas specials ever made, nevertheless, it is oddly fascinating to watch. The cartoon itself wasn't perfect but they take so many liberties here it is unbelievable.
Whatever you do, avoid the ALF Christmas special it is one of the most depressing things I have ever watched.
I was really nervous recording that episode as it was my dream subject. I'm happy now, I shall no longer harass poor Martin
I'll say.......NononononononoNO!
Yesterday, I watched The Lone Ranger, Jack the Giant Slayer and Elysium, in that order. I liked the last film most and felt TLR had two great action scenes and a middle hour of nothing.
The Doctor meets Sherlock....
Sorry, no hate, just indifference
I've seen the film and watched most of the first season of the show, I just couldn't get into it. If I had seen it all and I hated it, then yes, that would have been interesting
Personally, I haven't seen much, and continue to be the outlier in terms of liking Star Trek Into Darkness.
I like the first hour, forty. That's the length of some movies, is that good enough?
